Monday: Ginger was beautified at the groomers; Ford and I got our flu shots, grocery shopped, then enjoyed lunch at the "Greek" deli on Hwy 17. Ford's scraped arm is slowly healing. Laureen moved her tutoring session to tomorrow evening. AA did not go to the home Girls golf match today (they won). We are all glued to the TV for weather updates on Hurricane Idalia coming in from the Gulf Coast, heading north of Tampa (where Mia is house sitting and Madison is at USF). Dinner was spaghetti/sauce and meatballs.
Tuesday: I had my hair colored thanks to Steve fitting me in. AA's school is cancelled for Wednesday and no after school activities today. River House happy hour was with Kathy (Hugh's birthday; he and Maureen went to the Club for dinner). We enjoyed baked stuffed chicken breasts from the FI Meat Market.
Wednesday: Hurricane Idalia is here! Very windy and wet!
Worked for a few hours. Packing for my trip to Maine. We decided to go out for lunch, tried the new Fleming Island V's Pizza location - only about 10% full, as weather keeping people away - which was great for us, as it has been packed every day since opened. AA remembered why she did not want to order the Hawaiian Chicken Wings again - too sweet. But otherwise, everything was good!
Gusty winds the rest of the day.
Thursday: I flew to Maine! A few days in my home State with family! See separate post.
Friday: Ford and AA followed the schedule, school and PT.
Saturday: AA did homework. Leaa drove over for a late dinner at Talon's (she dropped Dylan off in Mandarin for a dance session).
We learned of Jimmy Buffet's death (age 76) from merkel-cell carcinoma:
Bubbles Up - Point us toward home.....
The former Beatle who was so moved by “Bubbles Up” that he wrote about it online in a tribute to Buffett. “I told him that not only was the song great but the vocal was probably the best I’ve heard him sing ever,” McCartney wrote. “He turned a diving phrase that is used to train people underwater into a metaphor for life when you’re confused and don’t know where you are just follow the bubbles — they’ll take you up to the surface and straighten you out right away.”
Sunday: AA drove Ford to Woodpecker's BBQ for their big meal of the day.
Monday, Labor Day: Jesse, Leaa, Dylan, Liv and Justin came to have lunch with Ford and AA at V's Pizza. AA had PT at 11:00 a.m. Then ready for school tomorrow!
Tuesday: Ford took AA to school and cut a tire. AAA came to change the tire. Will have it replaced on Thursday by Suburban.
Wednesday: AA has Laurie after her PT appointment today. Ford has an eye appointment. And then just like that I am back Home!!
