Alligator Farm - Halloween Fun

A prelude to our Halloween fun......

I think it has finally hit - blog weary. This past week had plenty of news, activities, family chats, photos etc. It was a typical week that we want to document and share. This week was different. We have read about it on so many other blogs, slowly not keeping it current, very few posts, long gaps in time between posts. There is the general lack of time and the "pressure" of keeping the blog current. We have plenty of ideas for the blog, just haven't been able to carve out the time to blog about it.
This week will be different. Every day is so much fun with AA, just taking the time to recap our day, talk about the fun things, remind AA of each cute thing she did, each place we went, each person we spoke to. But getting some of those experiences on the blog has turned into a chore.
This week will be different. I don't want to miss documenting all the cuteness about AA, this is her blog. This is her scrapbook. We will continue, so this week will be different :)

Dear sweet Daddy met family and friends at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm for their Halloween Festival. I have never been a fan of paying to look at huge alligators but the kids did have fun.

Granddaughter #2 in her fairy costume.....

AA in her Snow White costume (no comments about not finding the matching crown!!).....

Having fun!!

Alligators!!

Cousins Dallas and Chad enjoyed the "Farm"......

Happy Halloween!!

St. Augustine Fun

We visited with daughter Leaa and Grand-Alivia (SIL had to work). We strolled their neighborhood to the beach, it was a lovely relaxing afternoon and evening. We ordered in Italian food and then had to leave as bedtime approached.
On the way home (after waiting forever in the traffic for the Lynyrd Skynyrd Concert), we stopped at the wonderful carousel and for $1.00 we rode merrily on a black horse while Daddy (DH) took lots of photos. Unfortunately, none came out well, something about motion and a daughter who only wanted to wave frantically at her Daddy thus either blocking her face or in some contorted facial expression.
I will break this into two posts as one has to be just about our Grand. She was so sweet and adorable today, we took lots of pictures.

We began the stroll.... both toddlers staying close to their Mommy's.......(yes, Leaa is due and delivers in 7 weeks)....

Livi wanted to talk to AA and joined our little party..... (they had already shared some secrets before the walk, when they were jumping all over Livi's bed in her bedroom..!)......

We thought it was so cute that Livi wanted to hold AA's hand so we stopped them and asked them to say "cheese"......

Livi and AA discussing some dark family secret.....

Frolicking broke loose and giggles were heard up and down the street.....

AA even managed to help Livi up from checking her ankles after a close call falling down.....

Still holding hands, almost back to their house, the dinners were being delivered! Let's eat!

On the walk back, we overheard Livi saying "Alyzabiff, you're my best friend"!!!
Isn't that what an Aunt is for? :)

In Time...

Early on, Aly made this sign for me to stick on the door for when I put Alyzabeth down for her afternoon nap.
She made me a new one after we lost Salty Dog.

For now, I prefer the old sign.....

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Our church, Fleming Island UMC, is hosting a Pumpkin Patch fund raiser for the Youth.
AA went to a pumpkin patch with her Orange Park UMC pre-school group and had fun picking out a very small pumpkin. She was so excited about being around the pumpkins, we needed to take her to our patch for more fun. It was a beautiful, crisp day (for NE Florida) and even with our colds, we still needed some outdoor exercise time.

We found the perfect one for AA; now to carry it to the truck!

Happy Fall! Happy Halloween!

Tea Time

We have had a few tea times with AA. So as the weather turns cool, we indulged in tea and a fortune cookie!

We used AA's tea set and Mommy's Big Girl China (my Grammie Merrill's China).....

AA loves fortune cookies.... one must have a small tea cake or sweet along with tea......

Her fortune read to "Linger over dinner discussions this week for needed advice" ....!!

More tea please.....

Happiness is enjoying tea time conversations with my precious daughter.......

Visiting Alabama Cousins

Continuing with our trip photos....
We took advantage of the driving trip home from Missouri to visit with first cousins Stephanie and Butch in Alabama, then spent one night with first cousins Stan and Tina in Pensacola, Florida.

We visited with their three chickens.....

Butch gave us the tour in their four-wheeler mule; Cousin Stephanie was still healing from a broken foot...

Visited with the cows.... very friendly..... Mama Cow had a treat of an apple.....

Her "baby" cow.....

Oreo......

Saw their smoke house and Butch's cousin's new chicken houses.

Picked fresh corn for dinner! Yummy!

After dinner and the next morning we enjoyed sitting on their front porch.... so relaxing and lots of countryside to look at! Thank you Stephanie and Butch for the wonderful visit!

Country Heaven.....
