Happy Child

Our little daughter is a happy child. We love her smiles and hugs. A few pictures from last weekend when the sun came out; still a bit cool, so didn't linger very long in the wind!

Pictures with Daddy..........

Posing very well..... much better! She has her name sticker on from our visit to the library. Picture in color:

Cropped, B&W:

Love our camera capturing the details of her hair blowing in the wind:

Enjoy your weekend!

Fun with Friends

AA was able to visit with JMei twice earlier this month.
We met for dinner at P.F. Chang, our first time at this restaurant and then the next day, the SAHP's had a play date. We love meeting up with this family!

So much fun!

Book Reading

All about reading something new.
It has been 16 months since having our newest daughter, and I am finally reading books again (I am still way behind in house chores but those can wait!).

Here's a book I will check out. If anyone else plans on reading it, let me know your opinion/review. Here's her blog and an email I received from the author:

Can you believe it's 2010? Can you believe how cold it is? It's even cold on Siesta Key, and Dixie and her critter friends are staying inside and reading good books. Well, Dixie is reading. The cats and dogs prefer audio books.

RAINING CAT SITTERS AND DOGS, the fifth book in the Dixie Hemingway series, will be in bookstores Jan. 19. It's about three missing people: a mysterious young girl, a wealthy man with some questionable ties to crime, and Paco, an undercover agent for the Sarasota County Special Investigative Bureau. By the time the story is resolved, Dixie has learned some life-altering truths about the nature of loyalty and love.

My very best,
Blaize

Sunday Activities

After church, AA was in a musical mood; we played music in a marching band (DH played flute as instructed by AA) and then picked some oranges and lemons. The day was warm but blustery so we were in and out as the sun called to us.

AA had a hard time snapping the orange off the tree/stem. With a little help, she filled her basket.

Finished for today!

So many left to pick!

Here's our ponderosa lemon tree that was the only tree that was damaged by our record 12 day night freezes. I researched on line and found out it is one of the least cold hardy citrus fruits; wish I had known that earlier. We have had this tree for about ten years and only minor frost damage occurred in the past so didn't think it was any different than our other trees. We shall watch it this spring to see if it recovers.

Back to the house with our citrus bounty...... soon made into juice and orange sections for snacking!

Have a wonderful week!

Mommy Time

When we go out for walks, I usually get to carry AA during part of the journey.......... my time to hug and hold.

Indoor Activity

We do not have stairs in our home, so when visiting Grandparents, AA was able to go up and down their inside stairs many times (seemed like hundreds!).
She would announce to all when she was going "upstairs" or "downstairs".

She also enjoyed dancing as Nana played music in the "upstairs" living room..... fun to wiggle and sparkle to the music:

Always a joy with AA!

Join in if you have a space that needs some attention........ now I need to decide....which ONE should I choose?

From Laura:
There will be two categories again…small space and whole room…and participants are more than welcome to enter in one or both. You’ll have the whole month to complete your organizing project and at the end of February you’ll come on back and link up your success story.

New Cookies - Jam Thumb Print

We tried a new recipe, a shortbread/sugar cookie rolled in coconut and then a thumb-print of jam (from one of our favorite Food Network Cooks - Ina Garten).
They came out yummy. I didn't take a picture of the baked ones, but we will soon make another batch!

A cook has to taste a little, a taste of the Blackberry Jam, gift from C&W (we used a different spoon after the taste, don't think those bad thoughts! We don't double dip in this family!)
Double Yummy!
