Monday and End of April!

Our Subaru has flashed a hot engine light a few times last Friday, so in the shop it went today. All is good now with fluids added and all checked (supposedly).
Also, last night was the last episode of Sanditon S2 until 2023 (S3). More cliff-hangers! Including the time line of Mr. Colbourne's life, its messy!
Ford attended his PD exercises. AA had a golf lesson with Coach Bryan. We sat on the FIGC patio with Penny.
Dinner, new recipe using cheese ravioli with sautéed tomatoes, pesto and spinach (meatless Monday). Usual school and my work hours all week.
Tuesday: River House with Kathy, I made homemade spinach dip for our appetizer (Hugh and Maureen had Erin and Allan visiting). Donna is back cleaning our home! Ford and I did a few errands and ate lunch at Mission BBQ, the food is average, third time going, probably not again.
I received a birthday gift, book from Cathy and Werner, Wise Women. Photos of wise women with some wisdom on each page.
I made our favorite pork tacos for dinner.
Wednesday: AA and Ford went to the TPC to see Josh, he evaluated her clubs and swing. They ordered a new driver, TaylorMade. I made a new chicken BBQ tacos with red cabbage slaw. Pretty good, very different from my tasty pork tacos.
Thursday: PD exercises. We walked the Black Creek Trail for 30 minutes. AA stayed late at school for a biology review. We ate the Chicken BBQ tacos again.
Had to add something I liked this week:
Friday: Ford made a pizza, very good! AA scored a 99 on her algebra test!
Unbaked:
Saturday: I made two recipes of blueberry muffins, Ina Garten's (sweeter with butter and sour cream) and the Bakewell recipe (basic muffin, very little sugar, melted shortening).
Muffins to the right are Ina Garten's recipe:
Bakewell recipe:
AA studied in the morning, made grilled cheese sandwiches.
River House happy hour with Hugh and Maureen (took them two blueberry muffins).
Sunday: Had Metro Diner brunch food as take-out (Ford had a burger, AA and I had the avocado, bacon, scrambled egg, hash brown bowl as her NFJG tee time wasn't until 2:20 p.m. I worked around the house doing usual chores (cooking, laundry, cleaning, walking Ginger). I made a new shrimp recipe with sun dried tomatoes, good but don't think I will make again.

Sunday April 24th Blueberry Picking!

Ford came up with the idea of blueberry picking on Saturday evening after seeing families post about going to the Tower's Farm in Bostwick (Palatka). So after a quiet Sunday morning with the exception of picking up, doing dishes, AA vacuumed, rearranging some furniture (preparing for our housekeepers return on Tuesday!) and general cleaning, we changed and headed to the farm by 11:30.
We picked 7.5 pounds in 30 minutes! It was sunny and hot (only 84 degrees, but hot picking in the field). We ate a few blueberries too! Delicious. Must go again.
Ford and AA picking:
Blueberries cleaned and packed for the freezer - 24 cups:
After lunch (sandwiches from Fresh Market), AA and Ford went to Eagle Harbor for some golf practice. Each Sunday evening I have been watching Sanditon, last episode tonight of Season 2.

Saturday April 23rd Dylan and Alivia

Saturday: We slept in (7:30!), did our morning routine. Leaa texted us with the link to Dylan's competition today so we could view on line:
On the Dock of the Bay:
Drove to St. Augustine HS for Liv's play, Medea. It was quite "mature", mythology plots of killing, revenge and betrayal. Liv was one of four "chorus" ladies who added dialogue to help the audience understand what was going on. Liv looked the part and spoke well. Very disturbing play for young people! This is Liv's last play for her sophomore year. This was posted in the lobby, all the actors in Medea:
Before our 3:00 p.m. matinee show:
The family after the show (Carl and Marsha attended the Thursday evening performance):
On stage at the end:
We drove home (ate Mexican food - Cantina Louie) and relaxed, another beautiful day!

April 18th - 22ndh Lunch at Congaree and Penn

Monday: Chicken casserole (asparagus, onions, mushrooms); went to the River House to drop off boiled peanuts for Paul. C. He loves them! We enjoyed some wine, then drove to the FIGC to pick up AA from her practice and playing nine holes with Coach Bryan.
Yesterday, Sunday, Leaa gave me a birthday gift of gardening tools, nice and compact, will work perfect for my "deck" garden.
Planted a few herbs:
Tuesday: We made chili in the crock pot in the morning, AA did homework after school and we met up with Hugh and Maureen and Kathy at the River House. This was the first time Hugh was back since his hip/fall on March 12th/13th. I took deviled eggs and cheesecake phyllo bites. We had the chili for dinner and watched a favorite show, "Finding Your Roots".
Wednesday: Continued our morning routine, working, a little cleaning, etc. AA golfed and did her PGA Jr. all-girls team practice. Larry Bradley joined us on the FIGC Pub patio.
We watched the leaderboard all day for Stephanie's results in the 2022 PGA Professional Championship - she's the only woman who made it to Round 4!
Thursday: Regular Thursday morning, PD exercises. Hair cuts/color with Steve, then chili again for dinner. AA studied for an algebra quiz with tutor Laurie (she made a 90 on it).
Friday: I took Carolyn out for lunch as a "birthday" celebration at Congaree and Penn, a farm restaurant. The food was delicious, very eclectic, brunch menu had very unique appetizers (gator fitters to fried green tomatoes to smoked fish dip), hot dishes and cold salads. We enjoyed a kale salad with pepper vinaigrette with grapefruit sections, pomegranate seeds and candied cashews. For lunch we shared shrimp and grits (made from the farm's rice grits) and Steak "hash" with mushrooms, onions, red potatoes, gravy and fried egg on top. We ate half our lunch so we had room for a dessert, called Coconut bread pudding - looked nothing like bread pudding, but so delicious!
Walked the farm after our lunch:
We shopped at BJ's afterwards, then home!
Continuing about Friday: AA went to the PGA Jr. Fitness Friday at FIGC, she is "Coach Alyzabeth" on these days. We brought food home for dinner from the Pub, was going to make a pizza but time got away from us.
