FIHS Senior Celebration + Middleburg Match

AA played in the FIHS Girls Golf Team match at home against Middleburg. It was also senior night so all seniors played during the match. Jenna was honored with accepting a college offer from Huntingdon College in Alabama and will play on their Women’s Golf Team, so she is all set for her continuing education!

Seniors celebrating. Coach Neddy spoke about each young lady and gave a nice speech about Jenna.
She new college posted on Instagram:

By the time I arrived (after first day at SJRCT and after walking Ginger), was able to congratulate Jenna and take a photo of AA and her Coach. We decided to eat at the "Irish" Pub, we enjoyed a Rueben, nachos and my chicken wrap.

Sausage Balls - Recipe

We have made this Sausage Balls Recipe for years, finally saving it here so I can easily look it up. I usually double it making 70 - 80 balls depending if you are consistently making them each 0.8 or 0.9 ounces for each one (yes, I weigh them).
Ingredients: 1 pound ground pork sausage
2 cups biscuit baking mix
1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (use a block of cheese, do not use pre-shredded, has a drying agent mixed in).
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, combine sausage, biscuit baking mix and cheese. Mix with your hands until all is combined to a meaty mixture and all baking mix is incorporated.
Form into walnut size balls and place on baking sheets.

Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown and sausage is cooked through. Use 20 minutes for 0.8/0.9 oz. balls.
Cook's note: Pre-cooked sausage balls may be frozen and then reheated at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Weekend: Saturday and Sunday

Ginger woke this morning in better spirits, now that the anesthesia has worn off (we gave her a pain pill last night and think that caused her some issues), her potty breaks have been more frequent, but over all she is recovering.
I spoke to Carolyn Friday, she broke her wrist while working in her back yard (fell from her fence cutting tree limbs). Glad she didn't break anything else, she is very sore.
Also, Friday, AA had her hour lesson/exercises with trainer Kyle V. He is moving to Jupiter Florida to begin work with Joey D. Golf.
Here's the weekly newsletter/post from FIHS:
Saturday began with AA at an 8:00 a.m. golf lesson with Coach Bryan. I made guacamole and took snacks (grapes, peanuts, pretzels) to our family meet-up at Ancient City Brewery. We visited and gave Leaa her birthday card. I tried taking a few selfies, not very good!

A better selfie (I think not!):
Waiting for others to arrive:
We had a nice visit with Cara, Pearl, Miles, Dylan, Leaa, Jesse, Cathy and Werner. We missed seeing Marsha and Carl, were too tired from moving this past week, Nicole and family were at the girls soccer games, and Christa has classes on Saturday. We try to meet-up periodically, better them them driving all the way to Fleming Island.
Sunday, I made homemade waffles (my recipe where you have to ship the egg whites separately), then AA went to the golf course at 10:00 a.m. (I putted for a very short time, couldn't make one!) and eventually decided to stay golfing (practicing for next weekend's DCP), I went and visited Carolyn (brought a homemade waffle and some of Ford's chili).
AA at driving range, then she did her putting drills:
All smiles (not!) when she saw me taking the photos:

Busy week! FIHS Golf (Two Wins)!

Tuesday: Nana Joy left this morning, I went to work and Ford was back to his usual daily school routine. AA had an orthodontist appointment after school. She may get her braces off in a month and then will wear retainers.
AA's two golf matches are Wednesday and Thursday.
Wednesday at Eagle Landing began with a heavy downpour, fortunately it passed over quickly and the match began 45 minutes late.
Middleburg (St. Johns Country Day doesn't field a complete team):
AA and Cambree tied for low score of 40.

Keystone Golf Match:
Another win!
Love that Jenna posts very quickly on Instagram:
Friday: Ford dropped Ginger off for her first dental cleaning (and removal of a growth on her inside lip). Ford and I splurged and ate a "brunch" at Metro Diner, plus errands and making a slow cooker full of chili. Always good to spend some time with my hubby!

Alyzabeth's Birthday!

Nana Joy is spending another night so she will be here for AA's birthday dinner and opening of gifts.
I baked meatloaf, made mashed potatoes and steamed green beans.
Now we need to shop for dog food, a bag from each of us, plus from those who gave us money (Terri, Mom, Marsha, Cathy, FM/AC, AA Auntie Jean). Charlotte gave AA $100 dollars before she died, saying she would like to contribute to the Safe Animal Shelter too.
Monday breakfast as Joy had not had my clafoutis yet.
Ready for AA's birthday!
Many cards (missing is Auntie Jean's):
Homemade ice cream cake! 15 candles!
Happy 15th! Preparing to blow them out!
All smiles!
Gifts:
Nana and Ginger ready for bed!
Photos of the night before - she's still 14!
