PGA Jr. Team Banquet, Awards and All-Stars!

Congratulations to the Putting People for the Screaming Eagles - Eagle Harbor PGA Jr. Team Championship! AA earned the MVP award too! Great season, undefeated! Congratulations to all who coached and supported them, the Eagle Harbor Golf Club Manager/Pro Marshall Collins, Coach Bryan M. Rolling Stones Concert and More!

We originally purchased tickets for the April concert and when Mick Jaggar needed heart valve surgery, it was postponed until July 19, 2019. What a hot evening, crowded with 52,000 people in the Jaguars stadium. Overall fun going to the concert. We had a picnic dinner then off to our seats to hear the opening band.
Opening act onstage. The Revivalist!! Strong group. Observations: It’s tough watching 80 year olds climbing the stairs to the upper level; a approx. 40 year old has earplugs in and last but not least no smoke. None of any kind.

What a loud blast from the past. Mick Jagger put on a show. More observations: the 40ish year old was right, earplugs were needed. Mick can still strut his stuff better than a peacock, his skinny legs twisting and turning his skinny hips. He changed shirts every song, some tight, some with sparkle and others light enough to float up beyond his belly button. Turning 76 next week, he has the energy and charisma to continue entertaining for years to come.

 AA said there were alomst no kids and everyone looked older than her parents! So true! AA purchased a t-shirt:

Mellow Mushroom 07/14/19

Enjoying Jesse’s excellent music - Sunday fun at the Mellow Mushroom. Good seeing the family, Carl and Marsha with recent Floridians Cara, Travis and toddler P. They have bought a house and Cara has a teaching job already!

Drive Chip and Putt (DCP) for 2020! Won the Local!

AA is moving on to the next step in the DCP, heading to the World Golf Village Slammer course for the sub-regionals (August 10th). One of her drives did not count. I was told by Ford and AA that she hit it very long, but the 18th hole where they held it, curved, so she went beyond the fairway, too bad! And when they presented the awards, they wrote the wrong score for her putting, a 26 when her score was really 36, so she missed out on one ribbon (no one really cares about the ribbons, just that she made it in the top three to move to the next level!).

I was at work Saturday morning, so we met up afterwards at Woodpeckers BBQ for a delicious celebratory lunch.

July 4th! Happy USA!

Enjoyed lunch and a swim at Carolyn’s. Heading out soon for fireworks and celebrating with good friends! Happy 4th!
We celebrated with Hugh, Maureen and Kathy at the Palace, always the best seat in OP for fireworks!

Later in the month, Hugh gave us tomatoes to try, he has been buying on Kingsley every week. He eats one for breakfast daily! They were delicious!
