Week of April 5th - 11th

Day after Easter, we are a bit bloated! We indulged in carrot cake and candy! And then at lunch today, we tasted the sugary Buc-Ee's Beaver Nuggets - corn syrup and brown sugar high!
AA gave some of her candy to her Daddy, and we opened the yellow chick with play dough, cut out mini-rabbits. Kind of cute, but basically useless.

Recipe for our Easter slow cooker carrots:
We went to the River House while AA had a golf lesson, then she played nine holes with Jenna and Cambree. We had leftover ham and veggies for dinner, watched the NCAA Men's basketball final game.
Tuesday: I worked at NGS office. Ford grocery shopped, AA in school. I stopped by Carolyn's to give her some rosemary cuttings and picked up two dozen eggs. Ford made real deep fried fish (didn't use the air fryer). So good!
Wednesday: I worked from home and made meatloaf for dinner. AA and I putted for a while, then she hit the private driving range. We ordered a dinner for Travis and Cara to pick up from the Purple Olive, everyone is taking a few meals each week while they get settled with baby Miles.
Thursday: AA played the back nine holes with Emmet, Ryan and Coach. Leftover meatloaf for dinner with salad and store-bought macaroni and cheese. Plus packing for their trip to Miami.
Friday: Ford and AA left for the Ryder Cup competition. I went and got my second COVID19 shot! Done!
I came home, cleaned out one bathroom drawer, and started washing the den couch and chair slipcovers (took until 7:00 p.m.). What a pain! I worked for APTIM four hours, walked Ginger and vacuumed.
Slipcovers are clean! Waiting for them to dry a little before putting back on the cushions while still damp.
Saturday: I had a bad Friday night with chills, fever, headache that lasted through to Sunday morning. Didn't do anything around the house while Ford and AA were away. A storm came rolling in at 5:00 p.m. and was stormy most of Sunday. Ginger and I did not like going outside for her potty breaks.
AA sent me photos of their hotel room at the NFJG Gold Cup Ryder Team tournament. No hot water and elevator doesn't work! Says it was probably a nice hotel 20 years ago!
I'll put all the NFJG Ryder Cup golfing photos on a separate post.
Sunday: I'm still nursing a slight headache, but much better. Stormy and rain through afternoon. Ginger and I had a wet walk. She keeps jumping on AA's bed looking at me like - "Where is everyone?".
