NFJG - Ryder Cup!

This is the weekend!
2021 NFJG RYDER CUP TOUR HEADS TO MIAMI, Saturday and Sunday, April 10th and 11th.
Twenty-two outstanding NFJG TOUR players will head down to Shula's Golf Course in Miami Lakes for the 2nd Annual "Florida Coast Junior Ryder Cup" match with the Gold Coast Junior Foundation. The Reigning champs look to bring the trophy back, but either way we will have a good time in the spirit of keen competition and sportsmanship. Everyone will play and matches will be worth one point for a win and ½ for a tie.  Highest total points at the end will be declared the victors.
Friday, Ford and AA drove to Miami, arriving close to noontime, got checked into the hotel and were out on the course for the 2:00 p.m. practice round with Tylar Whiting and Daisy Adams.
Saturday, AA played well with her teammate Sophia Rivera, won both nine-hole matches in four-ball.

The tournament was stopped due to the bad weather/lightning. AA won her match through Hole 15 and was on Hole 16 green ready to win that hole too. Unfortunately, the NFJG North Florida team was down two points, so they did not get to bring the trophy back home.
Ford and AA drove home in the storm we experienced over the past 16 hours, and made it home safely at 11:30 p.m. Ginger was so happy to see them!
Jack's message: FLORIDA COAST JUNIOR RYDER CUP
The trip down south to Shula's Hotel and Golf Club in Miami Lakes was another feather in the NFJGTOUR cap as the weekend was filled with great competition and team spirit. This go around the Gold Coast took possession of the coveted traveling trophy with their fine play defeating the talented NFJG TOUR team by 3 points. The score is now 1-1 and In 2022 the Coast Cup comes back up to North Florida. Course to be determined. Congratulations to all our players and to the Gold Coast Golf Foundation for hosting this wonderful event.
