Saturday - Sunday

Saturday: Ford and I have been waking up at 5:00 a.m. every morning, so not much sleeping in!
AA and her Ginger:
AA made citronella candles for gifts. We used soy wax with pre-made wicks:
Tags for the candles (with a cup of hot tea):
I did laundry, cleaned off the dining room table to start one of AA's puzzles, walked the dog, made a meatloaf to bake for dinner.
Ford and AA went to EH to hit the driving range; it was closed, so they played nine holes meeting up with a man from Massachusetts/Maine (currently lives in Cape Elizabeth) who was visiting as one of his four daughters was in the traveling Nutcracker Production in Jacksonville this week. He was on his college golf team (Boston College).
Happy Hour was with Hugh, Maureen and Penny. We always have interesting chats. I bought pomegranate  juice and a pomegranate for the seeds, to try with champagne, Ford liked it and it was not as sweet as with cranberry juice.
Sunday was a very nice day, AA and I made gingerbread cookie dough which is chilling in the refrigerator.
We called my Mom for a "Messenger" chat and Melissa showed us around including the CAT!
We wrapped a few gifts including the homemade citronella candles that AA made yesterday:
Made lunch/sandwiches from Thanksgiving smoked turkey. Then we packed up a few birthday (Cathy and Christa) and Christmas gifts we had to drop off at Cathy and Werner's after visiting Justin. At Justin's, we were being bit by mosquito's, so only visited outside for about 20 minutes. We got the latest scoop on Kilee (she's in the theater production West Side Story and performing all week - we did not go, COVID is still scary). I picked some grapefruit from his tree, we dropped off some homemade peanut brittle and biscotti, he gave us a jar of his datil hot sauce. We looked over his plants, Christmas cactus and others that are growing since his goat attacked them all. A quick but nice visit.
Then we went to Cathy/Werner's, visited on their back porch and played the new badminton game they had set up. Fun!
Masks on most of the time (except when we were drinking scotch and wine!):
On the way home, we had a few laughs, I need to write them down, as when AA starts her laughing we add to it by saying something implausible but related. Anyways, giggles are good! Back home to have leftover meatloaf for dinner!
