AA is beginning her summer "home" school work on weekdays. We still need to get her on-line Spanish speaking lessons. She has reading, geometry and her Summer Bridge workbook to keep her busy for two hours a day.
Friday, we ordered take out from Talon's (#EagleHarbor), I love the Power Salad with salmon and kale with the citrus dressing. Yum!
Saturday was a quiet day. Ford met up with Jack while AA putted. Jack reimbursed us for AA's Women's Amateur she played in, she had earned an exemption from NFJG. Nice benefit!
We made a trip to visit with Penny on her driveway and dropped off her bag from the Women's Amateur Tournament. Then, we had read that there was an ice cream shop that was rated No. 1 in our county - so we just happen to be near. AA ate a cup of mint-chocolate chip, while Ford had butter-pecan ice cream. We made Ford put on his mask and go inside to purchase, while we waited in the car - aren't we bad!! I made our new favorite shrimp and broccoli garlic/chili sheet pan dinner with rice. Another Yum!
Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m., AA played nine holes @EagleHarborGolf with Stephanie (UNF Ladies Golf Team Coach) and her hubby professional golfer Adam Eiswerth:
Stephanie is holding beginners golf group lessons so I may just have to learn! Ford told her I was a lefty and she said so is her Hubby Adam!
Drove to visit Carolyn, Tyler had gone back to Orlando to finish his Harley-Davidson Mechanic schooling. Took a few photos, will put in separate post. Here's Bella - she's a HUGE barker when we first arrive, thank goodness she's little!
Monday: AA practiced with Coach Bryan for 1.5 hours in the morning. We did some normal stuff, like finally putting away all our winter coats, cleaning out some of my closet, walking Ginger, planting a new basil slip I rooted (we "patio" garden), etc. I baked another batch of the blueberry muffins:
We drove to the library for audio books for me driving to work and reading books for AA. Then a shopping trip to Dick's Sporting Goods - AA desperately needed new bras - so we did find four nice sports bras (Women's Medium!), two that are slightly larger (just a little room to grow). We need to go to a regular department store next to buy "regular" bras for AA. Always had our masks on! Back at home, AA and I did a 2 mile bike ride, just my speed!
Ford made pinto beans (a new recipe of Ree Drummond's) with some ham and rice for dinner.
Tomorrow, the golf cart gets the required second sand box installed, then Wednesday, he has a dentist appointment. The golf course is closed Tuesday and Wednesday for maintenance, so they may drive to St. Augustine to watch Dylan surf. Father's Day is next Sunday and Ford already knows what he wants to do!
