Vermont - New Hampshire - Thursday

07/18/2024 We drove from Chicopee, MA to North Conway, driving up the western border of Vermont on I-91. We loved the Residence Inn as we were upgraded to the two-bedroom suit - we each had our own bathrooms! Will look for these rooms on our drive back to Florida.

Mountain peaks and curvy roads. In Massachusetts, we saw a sign for a scenic lookout spot, we stopped and laughed so hard - no view!
Driving into North Conway, we stopped at a visitor/rest stop with a view.
It was great having the feeling of "I'm in New England!". After checking into our room, at the base of Cranmore Mountain, we ate at Delaney's "Hole in the Wall", AA had a Ceasar salad, I had a cup of clam chowder and the Harvest Salad (tons of good stuff in it with quinoa and an apple cider vinaigrette. Several patrons ordered the lobster roll - may need to get one!
AA and I walked the nearest trail to our hotel - Green Hills, to Pudding Pond. Our hotel is at the base of the Cranmore Mountain Resort. We ended up with a little over 10,000 steps. Excellent considering how long we were in the truck.
Since we ate lunch so late, Ford and I opted for a glass of wine at the hotel bar - won't do again - $30 for two glasses. AA ate my leftover salad. We sat outside as inside, as the bar area was freezing. Loving the outside temperatures!
