The two used kayaks we purchased worked fine on the lake today. A breeze and full sun made for easy paddling. There were fishermen on the boat launch dock, with lines in the water, AA got close as didn't see them but once she got her paddling stride going moved away and out to the open water. We stayed out paddling for about 45 minutes, enough for a first try. We took the kayaks in the Honda truck bed to the launch/ramp and thankfully, the ramp wasn't too busy.
Ford took the photos, then came back for us when we texted him.
Out in the lake, the map shows where we were when I was looking up Larry's neighborhood dock (and AA's friend Noah Witt's dock). I was nervous taking my phone out over the water, so definitely need a waterproof pouch with touch clear screen and lanyard, so I can use the phone without taking it out of the pouch. We may go for a longer paddle in a few weeks, need to be prepared, maybe rowing gloves, water, pack a snack, sunscreen etc.
