Monday, January 2nd: Recovering from our weekend trip, laundry.
Writing this blog many days after, can't remember what we did during the day! We did watch the football game that Buffalo Bills Damar Hamlin (#3) was hit so hard his heart stopped (amazing team EMT's were able to restart his heart on the field), thankfully by the end of this week he was alert and talking.
Tuesday: AA finally had her orthopedic doctor's appointment. Ford had an eye appointment for his left eye with Dr. P. Scheduling another surgery on 01/30/23 to remove the remaining "cloudiness". We went to the County Line for produce (collard greens, bell and jalapeno peppers, tomatoes, apples, onions.... and dropped off many ball jars (most from Joy) at Justin's home.

Wednesday: AA had her hair trimmed by Tia (she trimmed, feathered and thinned), AA wants to keep her hair long.
We drove to the Veteran's Memorial Wall (downtown between the baseball and football stadiums, built in 1995). Separate post.
Then lunch at Hawkers:
Thursday: Back to school! We went to the Parkinson exercises and the first Tai Chi class. Very good, will be glad to go every two weeks (and free!).
AA practiced golf after school. Beautiful day, grocery shopped, worked a few hours, wine on the screen porch, easy meatless bruschetta (tomatoes from County Line) for dinner, usually Ford makes, but he was on the phone with his brother Bill. Began packing up some of the Christmas decorations.
Friday: AA at school, I worked. We went to the Tillman's meat market (formally FI Meat Market - owners retired) and had their stuffed chicken and a salad kit for dinner.

We started a puzzle AA gave me for Christmas, a Thomas Kincaid with cottage and lighthouse.
We were up late watching the Speaker of the House voting (debacle) for McCarthy. We are so proud/happy to be represented by the Minority Leader Jeffries, kind, intelligent and a man with a heart for all American people (listen to his speech!).
And to add to our political craziness:
Saturday: We made chili (crock pot), I cooked collard greens and made corn muffins, then put together an appetizer (phyllo cups, brie cheese, cranberry sauce with chopped walnuts and fresh rosemary for garnish) for our RH happy hour.
AA's first physical training evaluation on her left knee was at 8 am (JOI). Andrew explained how women's femur bone comes in at an angle, putting pressure on the knee, and her knee cap is off center/"floats" as the cartilage is worn, rubbing against the sides/edges of bone joint causing pain. Must wear brace and do PT for relief of pain.
Then came home and watched the Jaguar game against Titans - what a WIN! Next weekend is a home playoff game.
Sunday: Shopping with AA at the Avenues Mall - bought a dress at Belk's (lost my phone in the shoe department, then found - "panic"!!), ate lunch at Cantina Louie, finally a quick visit to Carolyn's (she continues to see Alex). Carnitas nachos for lunch:
