Monday: Busy day, beautiful day. I worked at home on and off all day, Ford went to his Parkinson exercises, then grocery shopping, prepping for dinner, stripping bed sheets, laundry, Christmas shopping on-line, walking Ginger, Getting from school, then to the golf course, chatting with her Coach BK about her sore knee, then AA with her Pre-Calculus tutor for an hour, and more homework, etc. Monday's meatless meal of bruschetta. Our usual day! At dinner time, Nicole, texted Mila's thank you for her birthday card and money. Sweet!
Clay County announced the All County Golf Teams - Alyzabeth was number one for the girls again, for 2nd year.

Wednesday: Jim Read texted us about his ex-wife Jess-Ann being in the hospital, cardiac arrest. Jessica/Jay (wife Kristin Lindsay) and Travis (wife Jessica) arrived to be by her side, Jess-Ann passed around midnight. Had a severe rain/wind storm come through in the afternoon, so AA did not go to the golf course. I made a new sheet pan dinner with pork chops, potatoes and broccoli.
I completed AA's Advent calendar with Bible verses and a 2nd note about different names that Jesus goes by, each pocket has a piece of candy or a miniature Christmas tree ornament.
December 1st! Thursday: Ford went to his Parkinson's exercises and Publix, I worked, laundry and walking Ginger, cool, windy day. Took the car to Suburban for oil change on Friday. AA found out she scored a 76 on her calculus two-day test, so once she gets the test back, will have Laurie (her tutor) to review all the problems that were incorrect (her quarter grade dropped to a 91, still an "A"). AA played putting games with Penny at Eagle Harbor, chatting about her experience with golf injuries. Afterwards, we met inside Talon's for nachos and a glass of wine. Nice to reconnect with her. We decided to have hotdogs for dinner and will have the salmon for Friday dinner, tomorrow.
Friday: Picked up Subaru. Ford started his eye drops in preparation for his cataract eye surgery on Monday. Dinner of salmon and asparagus. See separate post on building AA's gingerbread house kit.
Saturday: Made a clafoutis for breakfast. Drove to our local Christmas tree lot and selected a small, 6 foot tree. Separate post on our Christmas tree. Baked dog treats with pumpkin, oat flour, peanut butter and cinnamon. Carolyn came over after her date with Alex (friend, met up at RAM market). Gave her a few dog "cookies" we baked for Bella. We drove to Green Cove Springs for the Christmas tree lighting (separate post).
Received a box from Terri with Christmas gifts, corn meal, chocolates, and our favorite from her garden - garlic!
Sunday: We had breakfast of leftover Clafoutis and went to church, OPUMC. Really nice service, Christmas songs, second week of Advent - Peace through Jesus. Baking dog treats with home-baked pumpkin puree. Ford made a large batch of spaghetti sauce. Watched the University of Maine play basketball in London and lose by one point! Facebook post: ESPN - on now - my school - UMO! University of Maine men's basketball team is at the Basketball Hall of Fame London Showcase on Sunday, TODAY! They are taking on Marist College in the contest. This is the fifth meeting all-time between these two programs, with the all-time record going to Marist, 4-1; first matchup between these two programs since the 2012-13 season. Maine Black Bears @MaineBlackBearBasketball #MaineNation #UMO #goblackbears. Edit/Update: Maine lost by one point! Boo-hoo......
Then the Jaguar game against the Bills, another loss. I added lights to the Christmas tree, made nachos for midday meal. AA doing alot of homework. Sunday ended with the Eagle Harbor Neighborhood Christmas Parade and Christmas Tree lighting at the golf course/Talon's Restaurant. The parade was to begin at 5:45; we saw it at 6:40! Long wait!
Hot chocolate at home after the tree lighting! Small mug is one Carolyn decorated for AA in 2012; mug on right is one Ford always loved at Gloria's condo, and the mug on the left is my AT - Appalachian Trail.
Was contacted by the Bailey's - decided to turn down Ian's offer to go to an Ice Hockey game this Wednesday, she is volunteering Tuesday for three hours after school, also has a chemistry test on Thursday, and would lose all Wednesday after school to do homework. We are sorry not to have AA go.
