Thursday, August 11th - Arrived on a later flight (3:15 p.m. instead of 11:00 a.m.). Mom picked me up. We had an early dinner at Gilbert's Chowder House. I had a cup of clam chowder and fried scallops, Mom ate clam strips. Met our wonderful server, Melanie and she said "I didn't know there were LSL ladies shirts"! She has family on the east shore, middle lake. Fun chatting with her. Maybe she will meet up with the ladies group soon!
Enjoyed the ocean view from the patio, several small boats going in and out, plus we parked in DiMillo's lot and enjoyed this message as we left - "May you have fair winds and following seas".
“Fair Winds and Following Seas” is a gesture of good luck to those we will miss and sailors who have served with honor and courage. The combination of phrases implies that a vessel will have good winds, and not have to pound into the waves. The phrase can be used as a toast or salutation between mariners.
Driving the scenic way:
Friday, the 12th: Jamie and Brandon's wedding (separate post).
After leaving Albion, stopped at Harraseeket for a lobster roll.
Love LSL (so relaxing until the ice cream boat stopped by!!) and sister Melissa.
At Terri's home:
Right before arriving in Maine, Melissa's cat Neptune, passed on the 9th. She was originally Chris' cat, then lived 15 years with Melissa.

Mom and I went to the Gray Wild Blueberry Festival in the morning (while Melissa went to help Terri - to watch the dogs during their visit inside with Ginny), ran into Gary Kenny, Brenda (wood working), the Little Sebago Lake booth and neighbor Diane Miller. I enjoy part of Mom's blueberry pie (bought from the Congregational Church bake sale) and a blueberry lime rickey from Craft Curbside (restaurant located near Marden's/Gray turnpike). It was delicious.
Ukulele group playing a blueberry hill song:
LSL Merchandise booth with Brenda LaFleur's next to it (woodworking):
Around 11:15 a.m. - Terri, Brandon, Kim, Greyson, two dogs Charlie and DeeDee arrived. We ate wedding sandwiches/leftovers/veggies for lunch.

Melissa and Kimee paddled across the lake and then Kimee stayed in the water collecting clam shells for hours (and paid for it with a headache on the way home). It was a little cool for me, but a beautiful day that just got better as the afternoon wore on.
Saturday was a quiet evening, sitting watching the lake water. I did walk and get the mail, visited briefly with Gary and Karen Brown.
Sunday, 14th: Took a long sea-doo ride to Carol and Ray Walsh's home (southern part of LSL).
Finally swam in the lake after the sea-doo ride.
Dinner with Hilary (separate post) at the Garage BBQ. Onto Monday, my last full day in Maine!
