Thursday - Back Home!

Alyzabeth and I were greeted at the airport by Daddy Ford, Wednesday evening. He had a cooler with drinks packed and a dinner of Mississippi Pot Roast and vegetables waiting at home for dinner. It was good to be home after so many days visiting Maine family and Washington DC. Tested for COVID, just to check - negative!
Thursday was a lazy morning with unpacking and laundry, so busy, Ford forgot to go to his PD exercises! AA went to the golf academy (FIGC) for a few hours, then home and showered. Ford and I went to the River House for a quiet glass of wine, just relaxing and catching up. Goodies from Maine (stolen pumpkin pie filling from Mom):
Hand blown Maine glass from Auntie Jean:
Earrings from Melissa, she also gave us a loon tray made by Carol Walsh (LSL):
These red thread bracelets arrived in the mail from Vivian Masson (Canada, hubby Corey, daughter Kerri). Vivian is very sick yet she wants to spread happiness and love to all her adoption Mommies!
Friday: Ford grocery shopped while I spent most of the day making up work hours I needed (only worked a couple of hours daily while in DC). I made a batch of mango salsa, AA eats for breakfast and lunch! AA golfed with Chloe in the afternoon, stopped as bad weather was approaching. We had a simple meal of our favorite homemade bruschetta, enjoyed wine on our screened porch (the rain storm cooled things down a bit).
Saturday, AA and Ford went to her tee time with Stephanie at San Jose while I picked up the "Where the Wild Things Are" cake at Publix (and 24 cupcakes), drove to the CaddyShack for Christa's babies shower - Finneas and Colton Lee. Great seeing Christa, good food, mimosas (I did not partake - can't drink twice in a day!) all thanks to Sharon!
After arriving home, Ford and I went to the River House (took mango salsa and scoops), met up with Hugh, Maureen and Kathy (her family vacation is July 16th - 22nd; and she still needs her leg surgery - vein to be unblocked). Maureen is still in AFib, has more doctors' appointments to continue to find a remedy. AA took a practice drivers permit test on line and passed. Now for her to schedule the real test!
Sunday: AA had a PGA Jr. Golf Match with her girls team (as a volunteer). We have been planning meals, getting ready for Joy's visit this coming Thursday for Father's Day weekend.
