Jack's note on condition:
Recently the superintendent at Bent Creek Golf Club accidently sprayed the greens with an incorrect mixture of Roundup or grass and weed killer. Applying the wrong mixture caused the newly renovated greens to go into a state of dormancy and may possibly have killed the grass, but only time will tell this. Right now the greens are brown in color, but I'm told they are very playable, although hard and fast.
Here is a follow up to some member concerns about the course condition at Bent Creek Golf Club.
I just returned from playing and previewing the course in preparation for this weekend’s event. My decision is to continue with our event.
The golf course was packed with players and watching play and talking with the players, most are happy with the condition regardless the color of the greens and considering the unfortunately chemical accident on the greens.
The overall course is in good condition and playable.  A couple greens had some stressed areas. As previously mentioned, the greens are dormant and are brown, but they putt very smoothly. The greens are hard and fast.
To note, these greens are new and therefore they would be hard and fast even if the greens were to be green in color.
I played five holes and hit multiple shots into the greens, and they are firm, so the ball does release about 6-10 yards.  With that said, players just need to adjust club selection when approaching greens to allow for the ball release and roll out.
I also made multiple putts on many of the greens, and I had no problem with speed control once I figured out the speed of the greens.
AA had trouble with three holes taking a NINE on a Par three (Hole 14) then continued with two more holes, 15 and 16 with a double and triple bogey. Just a mess with getting into mud, then hitting shots short as if you land on the greens it rolled over the back side. Otherwise, she played it well (+4 on the front nine).

Jack's Newsletter:
In our Elite Tour Girls division St. Augustine’s Sofia Rivera, taking after her uncle, birdie maker and PGATOUR Professional Russell Knox would card three birdies during her round to lead the elite girl’s division. Always smiling, Rivera would post a very nice round of 76 to put in the books a back-to-back win and her third win of the season.
St. Johns Shanya Arasu returned to the tour this week after a lengthy layoff and showed she had not forgotten how to swing a club. She would fire a very respectable round of 79 to capture the Silver Medal.
