Weekend November 27 - 28th

Saturday: We had a good morning, I made more gravy from the leftover turkey drippings I had not used on Thursday. We did more dishes and watched the final part of the Beatles documentary. Then we bought our Christmas tree. We had sticker shock. This lot we go to every year have now upped their prices. A tree, we would have bought for around $90 now costs $140 - 160. Most trees were over $170! We did find a nice (skinny, smaller) one and with my repeat customer discount, paid $104!

Saturday leftovers:
We went to the River House, we took our fresh mozzarella balls with cherry tomatoes (olive oil and garlic and a basil leaf) for appetizer.
AA was tired so she took a nap.
Sunday, we were up, showered, dressed for 9:00 a.m. church service, the first time in almost 2 years! It is a new season of Advent, time to wear the mask and get to church. OPUMC has several pews marked off that require masks, so we sat in the "red" masks required section. Estimating, there were maybe 18 people of 110 who wore masks.
After, we ate Thanksgiving Day leftovers AGAIN for lunch! Still yummy! I put the lights on our very skinny tree. AA began her drivers permit on-line drug class and did school work (plus AA didn't play in the NFJG Hidden Hills tournament per her Daddy and Coach, she's not playing in many of the one day tournaments anymore) so she practiced today with Coach, while we dropped off a gift for Mila's birthday. Jordan is the only one tested positive in their household, so we dropped the gift at the front door. Simple gift, a DQ gift card, sprinkles, candles, caramel ice cream topping, Publix cupcakes and a helium Happy Birthday balloon.
Nicole sent us this photo:
We stopped by the Jax Asian Market for some fresh lo mein noodles and vegetables and then at the FI Meat Market, picked up dinner of green beans, stuffed portabella mushrooms and pork cutlets to bake.
We heard from Terri and Melissa that Mom was sick, diagnosed with bronchitis and a touch of pneumonia, so hopefully, with rest and fluids, she will feel better soon.
AA practiced golf and we wrapped up another weekend!
