The week began with school, making homemade dinners (red beans and rice for Monday, Bruschetta for Tuesday), happy hour at River House and a dress shopping trip to JC Penney's. We finished Monday night with watching the Netflix movie "Found". Such a cool story but the grief and sadness that comes with the adoption story. We were all profoundly moved, AA internalized with sobs.
Tuesday was AA's golf team's district tournament (separate post). And Donna's bi-weekly day to clean our home, so nice having her, she is always a happy and nice soul (with family tragedy thrown in).
Wednesday: Dentist appointment. Ford and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Iguana on Park Street. Tableside guacamole, fish taco (large and crispy) and Ford's Cubano sandwich. We were stuffed when we left. We will go again, plenty of outside seating and nice wine menu!
AA made it home from her dentist appointment to help the kids golf lesson (last 30 minutes). We ordered a Mellow Mushroom pizza for dinner.
Thursday: Worked at SJRCT and Ford made homemade shrimp alfredo (with peas) - YUM!
Friday: I made another batch of pumpkin bread. After school, AA and I delivered the donated pet food to the Safe Animal Shelter (Middleburg). 20+ bags, plus treats.

Unloading at the Safe Animal Shelter (three women assisted):
Ford got his COVID booster shot at Publix. Homemade dinner of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans for dinner.
Saturday: AA decided not to go to the High School Homecoming, partly due to the two day golf tournament. She has several friends who are not going, one had a family birthday, another, Noah went to the FL-GA football game.
NFJG King and Bear - separate post on the two day NFJG tournament. Dinner was leftovers from Friday night.
Sunday: I stayed home, another cold day (about 50 degrees at the start of AA's tournament, up to 60 degrees), did laundry, unpacked some winter coats, made a white bean soup in the crock-pot, walked Ginger, played fetch with Ginger, baked homemade apple crisp (yum! enjoyed when they arrived home), shopped at Publix, took recyclables to the library drop-off dumpsters, etc. Ford and I enjoyed a bottle of champagne in the late afternoon.
Nothing happening for Halloween, AA doesn't seem to enjoy going out, maybe next year we can all dress up or get a street party going.
