February - Countdown to CNY + Valentine's Day

Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day are in the same weekend this year. We will make some Chinese food and hopefully drive around the area delivering Valentine's Day candy to our Grands and red envelopes over this coming weekend.
Monday: More wet weather!
Tuesday: I worked at the NGS office, we made chicken cacciatore for dinner (frozen leftovers from when we made a large batch in the slow-cooker).
Wednesday: Ford had his second COVID shot, I went to the NGS office to work for the day. I stopped by Carolyn's library to pick up two dozen eggs.
Thursday: Mom sent us a Valentine's Day candy basket, of course, we immediately ate a couple of candy bars. So good! Thank you!

Thursday: Since I am writing this as the week is long past, hard to remember our activities. AA had a World History test and aced it. Ford had his haircut. It was the best, most beautiful day in a while - hit 80 degrees. AA practiced golf for over two hours;  we enjoyed a drink on the Talon's patio, almost completely deserted. Spaghetti and meatballs with a salad was another easy meal (we make meatballs and freeze them, so can have dinner ready in less than 30 minutes). We did need to use jar sauce and added onions, garlic and peppers.

Friday: I worked the morning then went to have my hair colored by Steve. We have had more rain! We continued to watch the impeachment trial, which shows so much damning evidence from 01/06/2021 that #45 should be impeached. He knew (from phone calls with McCarthy what was going on, his tweets, no response to help those help hostage in the Capitol, the violence, his incitement of revenge and not accepting the election results, claiming the election was stolen (the States all certified their results). Crazy world! In 2016, all the #45 supporters I know told us to get over our "loss"; that you get to vote again in four years. Same situation again. Get out and vote; vote for who has the best interests in America not themselves.

We had leftover smoked ribs and sides, easy dinner (Ford smoked ribs and we froze enough for many meals, love cooking quantity). We were going to share a glass of wine outside with Joe Powers, but more rain! So we watched a movie, 10 Things I hate About You, a silly High School show with much drama and stupid stuff about a younger sister wanting to date but her Dad won't let he unless her older sister goes out, which of course, she seems to have no interest in doing, so payment to "Patrick" (Heath Ledger, died 2008) ensues and you can imagine the tangled mess. Entertaining but worthless. We did enjoy getting to know the lead actors like Heath and Julia Stiles (Bourne identity movies).
