35th Anniversary - Savannah 10/03/20 - 10/04/20

Last year, our well planned anniversary was 90% rained out. So this year, the weather cooperated. Cool and dry weather! Windy but so nice! Once in our room (very early check-in!) we had our sandwiches with a mini-split of champagne!

In our room! #115
Active waterfront:
Old stairs, from the river up to Bay Street:
Barn door on the bathroom was a full length mirror too:
This is the only photo I took on our tour, Johnny Mercer, the composer bench. Our tour guide gave us many facts about the author of the book, the actual people, and some about the movie, lots of fact versus fiction.
Went back to our room after the tour, did our happy hour Zoom (wine and beer from Huey's with some pecans I brought along) and then off to dinner at Chive's. We tried Vic's but a 6:15 p.m., they already reached their maximum names on the outdoor seating wait list.
Crab cake on fried green tomato:
Japanese Salad (mushrooms, hearts of palm).
Ford's Seafood dish with red curry sauce:
Alida's roof top bar:
Happy 35th to us!

In the morning we had breakfast at the hotel, then a very long walk to Forsyth Park, before checking out.

Walked by last nights dinner restaurant:

Mercer House:
Checking out:
Malson's BBQ in Georgia, lunch on our way home.

We arrived at Carolyn's, picked up AA and Ginger and headed home! All in the rain!
