AA's Birthday Week!

We count down to AA's birthday on Sunday with two planned "socially distanced" outdoor gatherings. And birthday cards are arriving!

Mom sent Maine Wicked Whoopie pies:

Hugh and Maureen dropped off their donated dog food and dog treats.

Thursday, I stayed home from work (did about two hours of work) and rested. My eye lid seems a little better. Ford took Ginger to her annual physical at the Veterinarian and ran errands, I walked the dog, worked on this blog; we cooked a new carnitas pork recipe for tacos this evening.
Friday, back to work for me. AA went to the Robotics Team Leader meeting and I finally had my hair colored! Ford made a delicious creamy chicken, mushroom, spinach and pasta casserole. We heard the sad news that Ruth Bader Ginsberg died, so sad, her balance on the Supreme Court, championing human rights and gender equality. In 2012, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was famously asked at what point there would be enough women on the Supreme Court. Her answer was as simple as it was powerful: "When there are nine.".
Saturday, more RAIN again!!! We had golfing cancelled for the day. So we watched the movie "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock, we thought was very good movie: a rude, demanding woman boss nicknamed the terrorist and her Assistant Editor.
We asked friends to stop by the end of our driveway to donate dog food for AA's birthday. It rained right up until the 2:30 p.m. time and neighbors and friends stopped by! So happy many saw the need to donate dog food and we make it easy taking to the shelter. Neighbors: Joe, Bill, Arnold's, new renters Delania (Allen) and her grandson, Kerry (North) and Eloise. Plus friends Ian Bailey, Dylan and Tyler Collin, Jane Weigand and Owen Kinder.
David and Ian Bailey:
Erin, Dylan and Tyler Collins:
Dax and Jane Weigand (Jill and Jeff):
Jana and Owen Kinder:
Stacking on the golf cart:
Inside: 277 lbs!!
Dinner was Ford's BBQ pork sandwiches:
Then our very hastily homemade ice cream "cake":
And ready for birthday girl in the morning. Twas the night before she turned 14!!
Sunday, we will be outside at Ancient City Brewery to meet up with family. This is our first attempt to hang out with a group - always outside, let's hope everyone follows the rules.
