Sunday-Monday 08/02/20

*This past week, we would have been at the U.S. Kids Worlds but AA aged out (oldest is Girls12, AA is 13.5). A few of our golfing families are there, with Phillip Dunham winning his Boys 12; Tyler Mawhinny coming in 2nd place. Both excellent golfers and keen competitors. In the girls, Bella Dovey placed 7th, which is also a great finish (she has had a few health issues so impressed she did that well!).

*Sunday morning we cooked breakfast of scrambled eggs and Alabama sausage.
*AA and I practiced golfing but light rain storms came and went, strong enough that we stopped playing.
*We took a rest, then Ford and I went to Talons for a drink on the patio. We ended up talking with Trevor and didn't get back home until after 5 p.m.
*Ford grilled hamburgers and enjoyed dinner with AA's pasta salad. We played another game of Rummikub (Ford won) and watched most of Hamilton again.
So close, but I didn't win!!
A relaxing drink on Talon's patio with server Cole (we still do not go inside) during the dreary then sunshiny afternoon.
We FaceTimed with Mom again, she's having knee replacement surgery tomorrow, Monday.
Tropical Storm Isaias has finally passed by us, didn't amount to much near us, a few gusts, a few early showers. Back to a hot, sunny afternoon.
Monday, we waited for news of Mom's knee replacement from Melissa. All went well, she was eating, resting and in her recovery room. We ate our already cooked hamburgers for lunch and then ordered carry-out from Whitey's, a first in months getting food there: Mahi fish tacos, clam strips and "fish and chips".
AA played nine holes with Coach Stephanie, a separate post has some photos.
We ended our evening with our two-mile bike ride and baths!
