Another Week August 11 - 15th

Another week flew by us. No big appointments, so exciting news. Ford made a homemade cake with almond flavored cake layers, with white chocolate frosting and fresh strawberries, almost like strawberry shortcake. Deliciously decadent and sweet!

AA volunteered at the Eagle Harbor Youth Golf camp on Wednesday through Friday. She had golf lessons and did some Summer Bridge school work.

On Thursday, Democratic President Nominee Biden announced his running mate - VP - is Kamala Harris. Great choice!

I watched/listened to most of Biden/Harris speeches (while at work):

I stayed overnight at Carolyn's Thursday night, we made dinner (spicy shrimp and broccoli sheet pan with cold tomato, cucumber, red onion salad with balsamic vinegar dressing) but stormy again so no swimming in the pool.

Friday, AA unpacked many of her stuffed animals and Ginger enjoyed sniffing each one!

Saturday, we went to the ABC Liquor store to restock our wine supply - not very exciting, then drove to Orange Park to take a "drive to nowhere" along River Road and stopped by the very empty River House - Bars still closed here in Florida.
Then our 5:00 p.m. Zoom Happy Hour (without Kathy tonight). Penny showed us her inside cat:
At 7:25 p.m., the Bailey's reminded us that each month on the 15th they walk for childhood cancer. So we jumped outside and walked 2.4 miles - it was still hot, humid and dark by the time we arrived back home! #FourthandGold #riseupwithian
Here we are fresh, just starting our walk:
After our walk and very sweaty (inside our screened porch with lights on):
Arriving back at our neighborhood in the dark - no lights!
Sunday plans include driving to Justin's to drop off a tool (given to us by Hugh) and then a "drive to nowhere" through St. Augustine.
