Congratulations to #NFJG Tour Team for winning the inaugural Florida Coast Ryder Cup 2-day tournament! AA won her match play today with her best score of 76 at the Slammer and Squire. She enjoyed playing with Ashley Balcom on the Gold Coast Tour Team. Congratulations to Director Jack for managing to organize this format with 20 players per team and keeping everyone safe following CDC guidelines. Maybe will see an article about this in the Times-Union, Garry Smits #gsmitter was interviewing players and taking photos.

Medal for Winning Team:
The “Florida Coast Junior Ryder Cup” was conducted in fine fashion with great competition between two great junior organizations to put another feather in the hat of getting junior golf in Florida rekindled. Twenty players from the Golf Coast Junior Golf Foundation took the 4-5 hour trip north to experience the game at the famous and renowned World Golf Village-Slammer and Squire course. Nearly a year ago after the Florida Junior Tours Team Championships at PGA National the concept of starting this event was envisioned between Executive Directors Jack Aschenbach (NFJGF) and Wayne McKinney (GCJGF) and this past weekend the contest was put in the history books.
Fleming Islands Chase Ricks and Palm Coasts Trevor Challice would be the two players on the NFJG TOUR team who would win all three matches. Ricks would fire a career low 69 on the day. Makayla Chau on the Gold Coast team would be the only three match winner. Fleming Islands Alyzabeth Morgan, Orange City’s Tylar Ann Whiting and Jacksonville’s Anaiya Nahar would all earn 2 ½ points to help the team to victory.
Kudo’s to the Coaches Vince and Lauren Carver from Golf Coast and Lynne Kirkpatrick and Charles Collings from NFJGF for leading and inspiring the junior field.
