AA ready to play round 1 at the NFJG Florida Cup Competition.
Dear Alyzabeth Morgan:
Congratulations on your fine play at the 2020 Palatka Junior Azalea. I and the NFJG TOUR Staff are very proud of you and your accomplishments on the NFJG TOUR and we would like to present you with a couple higher level golf opportunities. First I would like to invite you to be part of this year FLORIDA JUNIOR TEAM and participate in the FJT Team Championships which will be played at Howey-in-the Hills on August 1st and 2nd.
Second, you are extended an invitation to the 2020 "First Coast Women's Amateur" which will be played at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club on June 9th and 10th
Please let me know if you accept these invitations and I look forward to our "FLORIDA COAST RYDER CUP matches here at the end of the month.
Update:
Just wanted to give you the latest on this weekends “Florida Coast Ryder Cup” matches. The Gold Coast Junior Golf Foundation and Tour will be heading up to St. Augustine tomorrow. They are all staying at the WGV Hotel. They will be practicing on the course on Friday. You may also go practice if you like, but pretty much everyone on the team played on Monday and Tuesday, so we killed two birds with one stone, but again you may get together and schedule a practice round if you like. This is on your own. Just don’t tire yourselves out.
Saturday Morning registration will open at 7:00 am and our tee times will start at 8:00 am and go until 10:00 am. This will be the same for Sunday. I will make pairings accordingly and I ask for your input on who you would be more comfortable with, not to say that you will play with that player, but it will be good to know your selection. I will not share this information. If it fits, we will do that and if it is not in the team’s best interest, we will make other pairings.
Format will be Saturday Fourball (best ball of partner), then Foursomes (alternate shot) 9-hole each format and then on Sunday 18-holes of singles.
Charles Collings and Lynne Kirkpatrick will be the team coaches. Each team will have a team captain
Boys 16-18 – Moses Compaan
Boys 13-15 – Andrew Davis
Girls 13-18 – Ashley Huffman
Girls 10-13 – Alyzabeth Morgan
Boys 10-13 – Luke Balaskiewwicz
After play on Saturday we will have lunch for the players and some socializing while we social distance and then on Sunday we will also have lunch and then award out the trophy and then depart.
Departing gifts – I will be giving each one of our players a hat and a towel to present to our guests after completion of the match on Sunday. On the final green, regardless of win or lose I would like you to present this and thank the players for coming up to compete in this friendly match. Hopefully they will do the same, but if they don’t its ok as we are the hosts and they are our guests.
