Week of the 9th was typical....
Cooking salmon dinner for our golf winner, as it is very soft, her braces have been on for six days and cooking vegetables, baked beans and other soft food is important for our girl to be able to eat solid food. She's sick of smoothies! Eating boiled peanuts, nice and mushy! Riced vegetables, another mushy food!
She had a piece of metal break off, a "latch" while she was brushing her teeth. Off to the orthodontist on Wednesday.
She scored an 89 on her science test. The up and downs of 7th grade AP classes, last week two 100's.
Last week weather in the 40's; this week we have two days reaching 80 degrees - a wonderful warm up soon to turn to rain and chill later this week. A golf cart ride after work with Ginger enjoying this 80 degree day, driving on the neighborhood roads, along the 9th Hole and through Talon's. Ginger loves the breeze, the smells and attention she gets!
Decorating the Christmas tree, putting ornaments on it during "The Voice", reminiscing about the ornaments that AA made, Terri and George sent from Maine, the hand painted ones from Mia, UMO, LSL and of course, E-E's Christmas stockings. Listening to Christmas music and worrying that we still have many gifts to buy!
Having a bunch of daises, the friendliest flower (as told during You've Got Mail!), in a vase.
Hugging my sweet daughter each day, each night and our good-night kisses. Love her!
Now there are mid-terms, lots of tests. AA studies, writing down many words on index cards. Spanish test, a two-day mid-term test in Civics, Algebra test and who knows what else. All she does is study. Well, today was warm so hitting a bag of balls was first. Sometimes you just have to go with the weather first!
I took off Thursday, the 12th as I am working Saturday, so Ford and I did some shopping, got the oil changed in the car, had lunch at Sweet Sensations (so crowded we ate in Spring Park watching the rough river waves). Bought poinsettias at Pat's, stopped at the library and then home to wrap gifts! Plus a cold front bringing lots of rain.
Golfing after school is a challenge due to the sunset time and having alot of school studying. She hasn't had much time with her Coach Bryan, partly due to his schedule and the PGA Jr. Team schedule (which she chose not to participate this Fall).
This weekend was AA's robotics competition, a Sunday NFJG Amelia National Tournament and the Collin's Twin's birthday party with the squad. More on our weekend next.....
