On the anniversary of 9/11/01 Patriots Day (and the anniversary of us boarding a plane to China to adopt AA 09/11/2008): Friday was assigned as a practice day for all DCP contestants, and even though we arrived by 9:15 a.m., several kids were already at the practice area. We know that several families had been there days in advance. We were allowed to practice but not on the actual putting green or chipping area. We couldn't even go over to the area to see how it was set up (the pro's private practice area). No peeking!
It was a great morning where AA plugged away for a steady two hours, hot and sweaty (yep, still in the mid-90's); we took advantage of the offer to contestants to have a tour of the golf course. A very nice "Cal" talked and pointed at all the interesting areas, stopping at the 17th Hole for a photo op! Very nice tour and it looked so DIFFERENT than when we were here in May for the Players Tournament.

It was noon, so we went into the TPC Sawgrass Club for lunch where we ran into co-worker W. Gariepy finishing his morning round. Delicious food and even the waitress chatted comfortably with us and discovered we lived next door to her nephew! A great day!
We went home, headed to the Winterbourne pool that we had all to ourselves and ordered pizza!
