Memorial Day - Memories
We remember those who have served our country, my Dad, Hubby's Dad and brothers, and these two lovely neighbors.
We remember them and the countless others today.
Thank You and God Bless.

Black Bird and the Eagle
Sweet Hubby looked out the window and saw the eagle land with a small fish, grabbing the camera, this was all about seeing such a grand bird.
Then the black bird came. It walked closer and closer to the eagle.
The eagle seemed nervous with the black bird strutting around and eyeing, possibly the fish?
Off into the sky:
Off to a more private setting.....

Visit with Auntie CR
AA is always trying to get Auntie Carolyn to show ALL her attention to her. They get pretty silly and goofy together. We love when Carolyn visits us - we have fun watching them and I get much needed blogging or "me" time!
Kissing cousins!!

Foster Families - Orlando Open House May 28th
Anyone interested in becoming a Foster Family in the Orlando area, here is an opportunity to learn more. I can vouch for Children's Home that certifies the families and provides an unbelievable amount of training and support through the Children's Home resources. Hope you can attend:
We want to make sure everyone is aware of the event Open Hearts Orlando is putting on, Saturday May 28. We are hosting a “Q and A: Pondering Foster Care” gathering at the Orlando Public Library (3rd floor) beginning at 4:00 p.m. Lindsey and Rebecca will do a brief overview of the foster care process and we will show the 7 minute video about the Children’s Home. Then we will introduce the panel and give them a chance to briefly share, followed by open Q and A. We have assembled a great panel! On the panel will be Robert Drean (adoptions), Danny Dawson (family court judge), Ed Coty (foster father who has also adopted), a representative from the Foundation for Foster Children, a representative from CBC, and perhaps a former foster child. We hope to do these Q and As on a regular basis moving them around geographically.
Please help us publicize this event to all interested prospective foster parents. We’d love to have a great turnout! Thanks.

Daddy & Daughter - Golfing
AA loves to steer the golf cart - a benefit (or bribe) to stick to her golf lessons!
The little local golf course (not associated with any neighborhood or club), River Bend, is adequate and has a small office/pro shop/restaurant. It is almost like your local neighborhood bar/family hang out.
Daddy and littlest daughter enjoying golf cart duties.

Putting Practice
Per Coach Doug's instructions (formerly called "Mister Doug"), AA practices on the putting green by placing five balls around the cup, 1/2 (half) length from the cup.
As long as it is fun for her, we keep taking her to the course. I even get in a few shots myself!

Family Visitors 2011 - Missouri
We were so happy to see DH's brother and sister-in-law recently. We had a great visit; all three kids were able to see their Uncle Bill and Aunt Joan. Justin even got to play golf with his Uncle Bill!
Their last visit was January 2010, check it out here.
Uncle Bill was a perfect horsey, the two girls had lots of fun with him!
Sweet daughter babysat AA so the four adults were able to catch a delicious dinner at Rhett's. Love that place. Thanks Leaa!
