It seems AA really loves baking; we have made many batches of cookies. We have fun measuring and stirring. She enjoys all of it. Hopefully, I can teach some math lessons over the next few years while baking so that fractions aren't so scary! Somehow I will do everything I can so that she likes math! We shall see......!
Before we get to all the pictures, I wish my Mom (lives in Maine) a wonderful birthday today! We will Skype and get to visit with family so can share in some of the celebration. See a prior year's post on her birthday here. Happy Birthday Mom!
We received a Gingerbread Mix from my sister and husband so decided to use it to bake Ginger Cookies. The recipe is on the back of the package. Check out all the organic products at this Maine business.
To make the cookies,we needed to beat one egg (always fun to do with a whisk), mix in one stick butter and one cup of molasses. Then add the dry ingredients from the package.
These are the raw cookies going into the oven. I criss-crossed them with a fork dipped in sugar, similar to peanut butter cookies.
Warm from the oven......
Here's my best "artistic" photo of the cookies..... they tasted yummy!!
Again, Happy Birthday Mom!

I expect the Tongginator will be a Fraction Geek because of all of the cooking we do. I'm sure AA will be, too!
