One year ago today, we were going crazy!
One year ago the Olympics began in China... remember the opening ceremonies?
Remember lucky number 8?
The opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics in Beijing began on 8/8/08 at 8 seconds and 8 minutes past 8 pm (local time)

I-knew-that-was-going-to-be-OUR-daughter's-referral-day.
But SHE was only in the mail, the stork was flying, so we were told.
Some families saw their child's picture on 08-11-08.
We are with an agency that double checks all facts and takes the extra time to verify OUR child's status in China. Then they release the information.
Referral Day (delivery day!) ended up being 08-12-08......... the day we drove to Orlando, we had a flat tire on the way (almost as bad as rushing to the hospital without your suitcase and your water breaking....) and saw HER picture for the first time. We were in a panic and euphoric mode!
Waiting for the big 08-12-08 - ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of our STORK landing.....

I think I said it then, but I am certainly saying it now. That was one of the most stunning referral pictures I have ever and will ever seen. She is an incomparable beauty. Now we know she is a pearl inside and out.

Oh, how I remember that day. I remember her photo taking my breath away....just how every single photo of her has since!
