Maine Winter - 2008

My Mom sent this to me.... Winter is being very persistent this year!!!

This is by a seventy-four-year-old lady who lives in Acton, Maine.

Why I Love Maine...

It's winter in the state of Maine
And the gentle breezes blow,
Seventy miles an hour,
At fifty-two below.
Oh, how I love the state of Maine
When the snow's up to your butt.
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose, it freezes shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
So I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave the state of Maine...
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!!!

Too funny....and the very reasons I don't think I would survive a Maine winter.

I love it! We have so much snow in our yard, I think it will be July before it all melts!

Funny but true! I had a good friend who lived in Bailey Island Maine. Working for an airline, I was able to fly out all the time. One trip was in the dead of winter. After that winter visit, I opted to visit in other seasons instead.....

Maine is beautiful, though.

The same could be said in Wisconsin this year. We actually had more snow last night! I am SO ready for spring. We did a little grilling over the wkend & tried your "johnny steaks" They are awesome! I think I need your recipe for lemoncello t ogo with the steak. My parents are in FL now & they could bring some lemons home for me :)
