I have not purchased clothes for new daughter Alyzabeth. I do not have a closet full of clothes, nor dresser drawers full.
We don't know her age or size so have been very hard and fast about not spending money on clothes that may never fit her (of course I could still buy lots and give away what she won't wear...).
I gave in at the Target store on Saturday morning. It was $ 4.98 and it is our "colors" - pink & brown. Now I have resisted buying pink & brown cute clothes in the past so why did I buy now? All I can think of is that I feel the need to "imagine" that the wait is almost over, that we will have her soon. I have really practical dreams imagining that CCAA will take pity on those families who are over 50 and have been waiting more than 24 months and speed up our referrals! What a dream!! So here we wait...... and imagine.
Here's the cute pink hoodie, size 3T, with brown & pink lining fabric!!

Let yourself imagine!! I love the coat, so cute! Alyson, I hope we get to meet soon at the scrapping retreat!!
ADORABLE...
Love it..
But sorry to say... The curse is broken...LOL..
You will start buying stuff now..
Always buy big then you know she will be able too wear them...
I have only bought a few things that may not fit... but it was on sale sooo it is not such a big deal..
but most of them are 2T or 24 months...
Glad you are having fun..
and you WILL have her soon..
Hugs to you both..
Sometimes you just have to give into a good bargain... the only clothes I have are either 6mths up to 24 mths... I only buy when there is a really good bargain... take care...
OMG, I had that very same hoodie in my hand the other day. Every time I go to Target, I head over to the baby clothes clearance rack and almost every time I come home with at least a couple of items for about $5. I just can't pass up prices like this!
Congrats on making your first purchase. It becomes very addictive, so watch out!
Donna :)
First of all, I give you an enormous pat on the back, for your self control!!! I'm useless.
Secondly, I agree... we do need to imagine that the waiting will soon be over, and the dressing little girls in cutsie clothes will begin!
