December 9th - 15th

Monday: Another morning, AA's breakfast, lunch and getting ready - she is doing more for herself now; doesn't need much help (except showering; getting in and out of the car and she has that almost mastered). Ford takes Ginger out for her quick potty breaks; still limping, will hopefully know more this Friday.

Drove Ford to his Parkinson exercises, then to Dr. Gill, back pain doctor - no issues there and no follow up appointment needed.
Picked up AA from school. Drove AA to SOS PT.
Public for a few groceries, had leftover turkey and roasted veggies for dinner. The final (part 1) of The Voice.
TuesdayUsual morning with me, taking Alyzabeth to school and you know she still in pain even though she can put some weight on her left leg now. She will be using crutches for quite a while longer along with the brace.
Back home got ready for Ford‘s PT appointment at the Silos location and then after that we went to Steve’s to get our haircut and colored.
Dylan's thank you:
I did walk quite a bit during Ford PT and chatted with Terri about her weeks plans and how much time she spending sitting with Anthony and Autumn. This Saturday is Autumn’s birthday party at Heather’s apartment.
We went to lunch at Maple Street Biscuit and then home for a few minutes before I went and picked Alyzabeth up at school. She stayed after school a bit as she is the Spanish tutor on Tuesday.
Home. I just had cheese and crackers and some sweet jerkins pickles to take to the RH. Hugh came for a short time and gave us some more tools and two saw-horses and he stayed for a quick drink as Maureen was having a very confused day. Karrie and Kathy were there; we chatted for a while outside as the weather was in the low 70s and very pleasant on the outside deck.
Once home I made pork tacos, which I already prepared, sliced, cilantro, the radishes, the jalapeƱo pepper and the pickled red onions.
Alyzabeth did a lot of homework and Ford watched the finale of The Voice.
WednesdaySlow morning. I boxed up the iPad, Christmas gift for Mom, need to mail. Drove to Self Help credit union to withdraw my Christmas spending money. A lightning/rainstorm came thru, pouring rain and wind so did not stop for lunch. Back home picked up AA from school, early dismissal.
Drove to SOS, Dr. Jones follow up as her knee was a concern to PA Andrew last week. Doctor stated it was the worst allergic reaction to the surgical glue, took pictures, sent to another doctor for second opinion (prescribed a very expensive ointment - $600!). Walmart pharmacy is checking back with the doctor. AA went to her PT early, Laura was available. Arrived home at 4:35.
Mia visited at 5:00. We had Mojo takeout for dinner. Talked about Middleburg home, rent for one year, then sell their GA home.
AA did homework, worked with Siyan on English presentation Lydia from Pride and Prejudice.
Leaa called, said Dylan was accepted at the Duke dance summer camp so not going to the one at Bates in Maine.
Laurie, math tutoring, cancelled as her mom is still in the hospital.
Thursday: Same morning routine, then off to Ford's Parkinson exercises. It was very cold, I stayed in the car and chatted with Mom. I mailed a box to Terri, then to Time Out Deli for lunch and Publix for salmon. AA cancelled Laureen, too much studying, all teachers are loading up the homework, finals are next week.
I went to my bi-annual eye appointment, my left eye is worse, and he said I will need cataracts removed in 3 -5 years (so I can still read, said only put new lens on my left eye - so my right eye can be for reading). I ordered two pair of glasses - spent $1800 including eye exam charge.
AA took a shower, Ford cooked salmon for dinner.
And AA was accepted at FSU! Yeah!
Friday: The temperatures are warming slightly, 47 degrees this morning by 7 am. Ford went to his PT.
Took Ginger to the Oncologist, they sedated her to get new images of her leg and lungs (full report received on Monday, 16th; discussions about prognoses, no hope at this point; euthanized on Wednesday, 18th). AA got a ride home from school - Siyan after attending Spanish Honor Society (social media photo).
SaturdayOur morning began with me sleeping in until 6:45. Once AA and Ginger got up, we were hustling! Ginger drank a large amount of water and some food, then vomited on the rug, her bed, my slippers and Ford’s shoes. After cleaning up, Ginger slept for hours. I baked molasses cocoa cookies, washed dishes, did three loads of wash of Ginger’s bedding, then off to Publix for a few items and a salad for my lunch. AA ate her Mojo leftovers, and Ford ate his Metro Diner leftover hamburger.
I actually got a ranch packet at Publix but somehow did not get to the cashier so. Back to Publix - needed for a crock pot of taco soup.
Wrote out the three Christmas cards for RH bartenders - Michelle, Shannon and Kelly, gave them Metro gift cards of $50.
AA continues to work on homework almost every hour of the day. Government, 3 assignments, two in English, Spanish and amazingly no Calculus AP as she just had a test and scored a wonderful 100!! A perfect score would have been 110 - but close enough!! Happy for her. We went to our usual River House happy hour.
Sunday: Slow morning, I did write out a few Christmas cards. AA was settled on the couch doing homework all day. Ginger is worse, unsteady and we are going to dread the news we will get on her in a few days. I went to church, chatted with Margie Foye - she said how much she misses Danny, doesn't get out much, updated me on her granddaughter who has had a foot injury for several years (no needs surgery on her ankle to stop the spreading caused by her shin bone going into her foot. Back at home we ate leftover BBQ (From RH catered party last night). For dinner, we ate leftover taco soup along with some corn dip Kathy gave us. AA indulged with some Publix special flavor ice cream - eggnog.
We went to Dylan's Christmas dance show (AA stayed home) - see separate post.
