Thursday, 8th: Usual morning with coffee, I worked, nice that I have time to keep caught up with my work.
Mom and I went to Handy Boat Marina for lunch - Dockside - very fancy, beautiful view, pricey - we splurged - Mom paid $100 for our lunch. It was delicious!
Friday. Feb. 9th: Mom and I didn't have any plans for the day so went to the Windham shop that was closing, Crickets, all merchandise was 60% off. I bought a scarf, a wrap for Terri (her April birthday), a little bunny for AA's Easter basket and some cards. Nice bargains. We ate leftovers for lunch, worked on the "cat" puzzle and I tried ice skating on men's ice hockey skates, which I could not do - would need lots of practice to get used to those skates!
Once Melissa was done with work, we got ready to drive to Hilary's new home, just a little north of Hollis Center, on RT35, address is neighbors/near 61 Hanson Lane (she doesn't receive mail at her address). First, we stopped at Patman's Liquor Store for some wine and gift card to give Hilary as a housewarming gift. We chatted after touring her home. Most is completed, now she is planning a car port to put her solar panels, instead of her very high-pitched roof, she explained that there would be cleaning of the panels and she did not want to be up on her two-story roof. So, a one-story car port with a less steep slope is what was a good solution.
Her dog Mya was very excited and goes wherever Hil goes, including our dinner destination at Salmon Falls Golf Club restaurant. It was a delicious dinner, Hilary paid, as a treat. Mom's Cobb's salad was less than stellar but our meals were very good (including roasted Brussel sprouts). We had a good visit and then drove back home.
