Cora Joyce Joy Morgan, departed this life on August 8, 2023, in Okeechobee, FL at the age of 89 years old. She was born July 21, 1934, in Stoddard County, MO, the daughter of Howard C. and Wanda Geraldine Gerry Robinson.
Joy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Okeechobee, FL. Throughout her life she enjoyed fishing, quilting, playing cards, spending time with family and friends and always ready for a travel adventure.
Joy and William H. Morgan, Sr. were united in marriage on January 11, 1974, and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2014.
Survivors include: three daughters, Debra Wise of Kaiser, MO, Donna (Rex) Keller of Dexter, MO and Candy (Doug) Garska of Troy, MO a son, Michael Kennard of Yakima, Washington two step-sons, William (Joan) H. Morgan, Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Ford (Alyson) Morgan of Fleming Island, FL. a step-daughter, Tiffany Morgan Deimund of Boerne, TX a sister, Shelby Sanders of Scott City, MO 18 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter who died at birth, Patty Ann, a sister, Thelma Mae Sanders and a stepson, Benny Morgan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Leeman Shirrell officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
