With AA not playing golf tournaments, we had time to go to the Christmas Tree lighting in Green Cove Springs (normally would not go out on tournament weekends). It was a bit of a traffic snarl to get into the town at 5:30 p.m., but found plenty of parking close to Walnut Street (Baptist church parking lot). The weather was beautiful, so the street (Highway 17) was crowded with people waiting to see the parade. The parade was impressive with large floats, Clay High School marching band, fire trucks, dance teams, etc.
We walked back to Red's Wine Bar for a three cheese charcuterie board and relaxed until it was 8:30 to see the Christmas tree lighting in Spring Park. Nice small town holiday fun. There was lots more to do, as the festivities began at 3:00 p.m. and included music and food trucks in Spring Park.
