Monday, October 10th

Received word from Augustine and Dick about Don's funeral arrangements:
Melissa spent the weekend with Terri, helping with the garden, shopping, visiting family:
Monday: Ford missed his Parkinson exercises, so we ran errands, then got the Subaru back from Suburban, with fixed tire leak. Our air conditioner/compressor/condenser crashed/broke - new complete kit is being ordered to the tune of about $1900 to fix/replace. Ouch!!
AA went to an away high school golf match at Palatka, separate post - Fleming Island won as expected.
Listened to an on line presentation titled Underclassmen: Beginning to Identify the Right Fit Colleges.
Last episode of the Voice, blind auditions. Bruschetta for dinner.
And we got AA's 10th grade school pictures - she's smiling in them!
Tuesday: Donna cleaned our home. We went to Walmart, walked the Black Creek Trail (for 30 minutes) and Palermo's for lunch.
AA ate some of my rice and chicken leftovers for her after school snack. Yum!
AA had golf team practice from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. today. I made a new pot roast recipe (add two envelops of Lipton Onion soup dry mix). Very good, plenty of leftovers for another meal this week.
Angela Lansbury died today, so sad - Ford said we have a little less joy.
Wednesday: Ford went to Quest to have blood drawn for his annual physical. AA took the PSAT today, practiced golf after school (separate post on some photos I took of her). I made an apple crisp from Leaa's North Carolina apples.
Happy Hour at Cultured Collective ("CC"). Quiet evening.
Thursday: Dr. Standish removed my upper cracked molar. I survived, stayed in bed all day watching TV and Don's funeral and the January 6th Committee hearing. Feeling better by bedtime (And to recap our expenses in past two months - Golf: $3,300 + Dental appointments: $1200 + Eye Doctor: $985 + Car: two separate problems $2,400 + Palm trees removed $800 + Anniversary dinner $200 - WHEW!!!! Savings account went down a bunch! This does not include two trips to Maine and Washington DC.......).
AA had her usual golf team practice and Ford fed her leftover pot roast for dinner.
Friday: We postponed AA having her iron checked at her pediatrician, they will send us a lab referral so can have it done locally. Baked a frozen chicken, rice, asparagus casserole, AA did several hours of homework.
Saturday:  AA had her golf lesson early, at 10:00 a.m. - noon (Coach Bryan and family wanted to go to the OP Fall Festival). Cooked some Alabama sausage for our River House appetizer, with Hugh, Maureen and Kathy, beautiful weather, Michelle (bartender) leaving for a week in Atlanta to be with her hubby stage manager. Watched MLB baseball, college football (Alabama and Florida lost!) then Downton Abbey (which I fell asleep!).
Sunday: Lazy morning, ready by 10:00 a.m. for AA and Siyan to go to the Orange Park Fall Festival. We enjoyed lunch there, Manny's Cuban Food truck, the girls shared a teriyaki bowl.
After browsing through the 150+ vendors, we walked across the street to the OPUMC pumpkin patch.
More NFL football today, relaxing after being out for three hours at the festival. Tomorrow is a day off from school but AA has an away golf match in Gainesville.
