Labor Day Holiday and Week of 09/06/22

Monday, Labor Day: We slept in, had a small breakfast/lunch and headed off to the St. Augustine outlet mall. We hoped to stop in at Ancient City Brewery but they are closed on Mondays. I bought two Chico shirts and Ford bought some hot sauce. AA and I tried on shoes at several stores but didn't buy any. Photo of AA texting classmates over their school presentation:

Dinner was Sonny's BBQ take out. After hitting a few balls (putting/chipping at Eagle Harbor), we watched the first episode of Netflix's National Parks narrated by President Barack Obama (Leaa told us about it and the Octopus documentary).

Tuesday: HS Golf Match at Eagle Landing (separate post). I made a new chicken, broccoli, rice and cheese casserole for dinner, turned out fine, just used to more flavor and vegetables (may add onion, garlic, etc.). I also cleaned out our "Tupperware" drawers (2). Several items went in the recycle bin! Casserole before cooking, without Ritz cracker topping.

Wednesday: Ford and I went shopping at Target, visited Larry (took him some chicken/rice casserole and strawberry cake), Walmart for pills and picked up AA from school. She went to team practice then home doing homework until very late (dinner of bruschetta).

Thursday: A rainy day, much needed. Ford went to his Parkinson exercises, I walked Ginger, and worked. Culture Collective Happy Hour with Hugh, Maureen and Kathy. We tried their empanadas, pretty good! NFL football season has begun along with lots of college football (Ford is still watching baseball). Also, this is the day Queen Elizabeth died, at age 96 with 70 years of service as Queen.

Friday: I shopped at BJ's with Carolyn, then back to her home to pull weeds and swim in her pool (and I made us caprese sandwiches for lunch with ciabatta bread/rolls).

AA came home from school with a runny nose, she had a snack then slept for a few hours. Hopefully this will be over quickly! We had chili (from the freezer) and watched another episode of Netflix's National Parks show.

Saturday: Sea Island golf fitting appointment, separate post, including dinner at Southern Soul BBQ.
Sunday: AA slept in, quiet day. Anniversary of 09/11/2001. I made a clafoutis for breakfast, always a good, fruity special treat.

Ford and I went to Collective Cultured for a beer and watched the Jaguars - played not too bad but they did lose against Washington Commanders.
