Week of July 4th! Happy Independance Day!

4th of July: We didn't have anything formal planned. Quiet day as AA has a two-day NFJG tournament tomorrow. Another scorcher day!

"Visited" Betty and Fount, try to go each year, put in two new flags.
Our white board we have been using since AA went to school - keeping our appointments and daily tasks listed - old school way!
Ford grilled a steak, corn and hotdogs, plus cole slaw and beans:
AA and Ford did some putting practice, after dinner.
Tuesday: NFJG Tournament (separate post). Donna came to clean house - yeah! Larry Bradley home from hospital - double yeah! He is doing well, got a few groceries for him. I worked at the library and then bought a few things for Ginger's 6th birthday.
Ford and I went to the River House, just us!
Happy Birthday to Ginger! New stuffed toy and sweet potato chews!
Hot day, a little breeze, but manageable for a drink outside on the river. Always a pretty view.
Wednesday: Round 2 of the NFJG tournament. I worked in the morning, made chicken kabobs for dinner. Hot temperatures for weeks - 90's! Hydrate!
Thursday: AA drivers permit (separate post). We saw Steve, hair coloring and Ford's haircut. AA golf lesson with Coach Bryan at 5:00 p.m. which was cut short due to rain/lightning. We ate dinner inside the FIGC Hibernia Pub (first time eating inside since..... usually we sit outside but 92 degrees outside!). AA and I shared the nachos and fried mushrooms, Ford had the fried chicken sandwich.
Friday: I worked in morning, plus usual chores. I called Joan to get the details of their weekend visit in two weeks; will stay close to the King and Bear golf course for our visiting time. Lunch was leftover pinto beans then to AA's annual (Baptist - Dr. C. Emanuel) pediatrician well check-up - which went very well. She is fit and healthy! Talked about her growth (probably no more height), her left knee (fine now), skin/acne, borderline iron/hemoglobin level of 10.6 - should be over 11 (will buy vitamins with iron and add more iron rich foods in her diet), talked about the COVID booster - wait until new version is released, about three months; and next year she has some 16 year old booster shots - she will be 16 at her next visit!!
Saturday: We decided to drive to the RAM market then lunch at Hawkers. Only bought vegetables, didn't find gifts we were looking for.
AA was to play nine holes with Penny at Eagle Harbor but the lightning and rain came. We did sit on the patio for an hour with Penny and chatted (we already planned to miss our usual River House happy hour).
Sunday: AA practiced at Eagle Harbor in the morning and then went to the 2:00 p.m. Thor movie with Noah. (they liked it - rated it a 7 or 8). While they were at the movies, we went to the OP Mall and walked the halls until the crowds made us nervous (Ford said, felt like being in a petri dish! We are not good around lots of people since COVD). We decided to stop in at the Cultured Collective Brewery, it's been around for a few years and recently Tyler (Mayse) told us about it. We stopped in, tried a four beer flight, way too loud DJ music, otherwise, enjoyed the little bar. There is a food truck too so will stop in again.
AA morning practice:
Cultured Collective Brewery (stout, porter, IPA, NE Hazy, wheat, etc.):
Food truck - "Tin Can":
We cooked dinner - grilled hamburgers and wilted spinach salad (both high in iron - as we are adding more food items with iron for AA). That's a wrap for this week!
