Monday: NFJG Tournament details on separate post. The PGA Jr (Fleming Island Golf Club Teams) awards banquet was a hit with the four teams and family. Plenty of awards, AA and Dylan F. assisted Coach Bryan. A bit of stormy weather right before dinner but cleared enough for the outside presentations. We brought the cheesecake phyllo bites that AA assembled. We enjoyed some beer, wine and dinner of a Cuban sandwich and nachos.
Daughter and Dad before dinner:

Tuesday: Round 2 of the NFJG at EH. Found a leak under our kitchen sink.
We went to the River House (Ford really didn't want to after walking the 18 holes; 91 degrees, with a breeze that stopped during our visit - sweaty hot!), talked with Erin, Hugh, Maureen and Kathy. Kathy is leaving for her Colorado family vacation.
Wednesday: Ford had his second shingle shot. We visited with Larry Bradley for about 45 minutes, took him my home-baked bran muffins.

We called David Gray Plumbing to replace our faucet - no more leaks (I guess the $700 was worth it!!).
AA went to FIGC to putt, then be volunteer "coach" for the All-Star team. Not much time to cook so Mellow Mushroom pizza for dinner!
Thursday: We had breakfast with Charlie and Donna at the Orange Park Cracker Barrel. Always good to see them; Donna is still in PT with her recent knee replacement. We did grocery shopping after as AA is baking lasagna tonight for dinner. I worked my hours, AA went to the EH golf course with Ford. Separate post on AA's lasagna.
We found the Florida State Girls Golf rankings, showed AA at #65 after her Freshman year - ranks all four grades together.
Facebook FIGC news:
And Christa had her two baby boys! Colton at 5 lbs. 12 oz.; Finneas at 4 lbs. 2 oz. (in ICU for a few days). Cathy and Werner waited during the day with Linda, Matt and Dawn, taking care of Christa's dog Layla.
Friday: Tried to plan something different with Carolyn, of all my ideas, not one worked out. Trying to get her to Painting with a Twist, glass blowing class, Downton Abbey movie (not showing in theaters anymore!), the Zoo (too hot) and kayaking (she has back issues). So decided to hit the beach for a couple of hours (separate post).
Saturday: With thunderstorms threatening the entire afternoon, we decided to take a chance and go to the Cultured Collective Brewery 2nd Anniversary party (Orange Park). Way too wet and they were crowded in the covered areas. So Ford and I stopped at V's bar for a beer then home with salads to go.
After dinner, we watched the new Persuasion Netflix movie. The reviews were true - it's a hot mess (cringing and wincing throughout it!)!
What could be a perfectly fine period adaptation turns into an agonizing hodgepodge of a movie, with an oddly modern twist on the heroine that’s at jarring odds with what’s mostly a sedate Regency-era romantic drama. The stellar supporting cast is all bogged down by weird dialogue choices, as the filmmakers try to make the movie both an edgy anachronistic take and a more traditional adaptation, and fails at both.
Sunday: We planned to drive to Gainesville, UF campus, and go through the Florida Museum of Natural History BUT Ford checked and Satchel's is closed on Sunday's! Changed plans (will reschedule going to the museum on a non-Sunday)!
First AA did a short drive to the Publix/Target parking lot:
We went to lunch at a new (to us) Asian restaurant, Season's Dumplings. Had good reviews and several Facebook "friends" raved about it. We went and it was delicious! AA's spicy chicken was very spicy - packed some heat! We will go again and order different dinners - I would like more dumplings, Ford will get a noodle dish. Can't wait.
And last - Auntie Jean's 90th birthday party in Maine, then Tuesday she flies to Chicago for a family visit.
Now that's a wrap for the week!
