April 17th, Easter Sunday and dinner at Carl and Marsha's new St. Augustine home at 2:00 p.m.
AA talking with her Dad, and breakfast of homemade pancakes with blueberries and Maine maple syrup:
We packed up the deviled eggs and dessert (cherry cheesecake phyllo bites - to be assembled in Marsha's kitchen) and broccoli slaw. AA stayed home, first time we have really seen her stressed about school work, biology test, presentation on all forms of government, elections, etc. (she had the presentation done) and a history essays, 36 total due. She plugs away every night at school work, plus her Spanish and algebra assignments. So she worked at home and when we arrived home went through her presentation and other work. I think she will feel a little better once Monday is over.
Carl and Marsha's new home off CR206 was very nice. It was a hoarders disaster when they bought it five months ago, but with new kitchen, new roof, new master bathroom, much cleaning and painting, they have about half the house renovated. A large corner lot, with much vegetation, giving privacy from the neighbors. the HOA says you cannot clear more than 40% of the lot.

Guests included Travis's Mom; also Christa's beau Lawrence. Christa looked radiant with her preggie belly - so cute!
Leaa gave me a gardeners tool pouch, will be very handy for our small yard and gardening projects. Nicole gave the girls a succulent plant and a bag of mixed candy. Cathy and Werner did the Easter egg hunt for all the kids (sorry AA missed that) and brought a box of fried chicken. Cara made homemade feta cheese slaw, Nicole her homefries casserole, Leaa brought green beans and a HUGE pan of macaroni and cheese, Marsha provided drinks and the ham. Plenty of food.

Marsha's FB post on 04/20/22:
Yesterday was my brother's birthday. He would have been 70. I was outside in our front yard stomping around, surveying the new damage and cussing deer, when I am pretty sure I heard him laughing at me. He was with me. And he’s right. Deer will be deer. He would have loved this place. So my dear Mark, I officially give up. This new four star restaurant is going out of business. Your new neighbors are closing the buffet deer. They even ate my fairy lilies they day before Easter. We had about a half dozen blooms and they were finally looking good. 🤷♀️We received a beautiful house warming gift from Justin Morgan - An herb garden in stacked pots. Luckily the deer passed on it. Maybe I can just plant mint. Thanks Justin. Sharing some pictures from Sunday. We enjoyed our family’s Easter Celebration so much ! Thanks family for making the day so special.
