March 16th - One day with the Read's

03/16/22 Wednesday: The weather was cool and rainy so no walking or biking. All meals with Jim and Cliff/Doc, delicious!
Tuesday evening when we arrived, dinner was a charcuterie, many cheeses, meats, nuts, jam, crackers.
Breakfast of Eggs Benedict with capers and mimosas.
Lunch was not needed, so full from breakfast. It was raining, so took a short drive into Damascus. We separated for the noon - afternoon hours to give them a chance to breath!
Ducks!
We went back to their home for dinner, drinks, lots of chatting.
Dinner was delicious - fried fish and hush puppies.
Fish dinner, hush puppies, potato salad, Micah made the hush puppies (he recently changed jobs to a different winery, turned 21 on 3/17/22!).
Enjoying their deck:
Wonderful visit!
At the vacation home, this was an interesting fire extinguisher:
Thursday morning breakfast of sausage balls and OJ, plus a send off of chicken salad sandwiches for our lunch! And a shamrock plant (Oxalis triangularis)!
Said our good-byes at 8:00 a.m.
