September is Here!

September 1st, Wednesday, I went to my new APTIM office on Philips Highway, will be a good work space for me twice a week.
Thursday: Ford made taco soup for dinner and another batch of boiled peanuts.
Friday: I made corn muffins to go with the leftover taco soup. We visited Larry. Scott Lagow and George Schiazza both contacted me about what they can do to help Larry. Then we picked up AA from school. She still has a cough (no temperature), post nasal drip type symptoms, but says she feels normal.
Saturday: We went to the Junior Players Golf Tournament at the TPC to play spectator for Moses Compaan (NFJG, graduated senior). He was +4 from yesterday, then double bogeyed Hole 1 (round 2). He ended the day with +3 = 7 over. His last round he played even par, 72. Good improvement, playing from the tips at TPC Sawgrass!
Hole 1, in the sand bunker.
Trying to take selfies:
For lunch we stopped at Cantina Louie, 10870 US Hwy 1 North
Ponte Vedra Beach (Nocatee) first time there, wore masks and had a table away from everyone else (we were still a bit nervous as none of the employees had masks on so may not go back, only about 20% of patrons had masks). Very colorful paintings, lots of skulls, just like the movie Coco. One of John Lennon:
Very good food and plenty of it. We decided we would all try something different if there was a next time. I had the trio of tacos (my homemade carnitas ones are better), Ford chose a sandwich which really we did not know it was on bread (by the description) and AA had the fajitas taco salad, which I think was an odd combination. The queso cheese dip was yummy and a splurge (Ford decided that spontaneously!).
Back home, in the afternoon, I made the mango black bean salsa and AA was asleep on the couch; we went to the River House to meet up with Hugh and Maureen. We took the salsa and scoops to contribute to the happy hour snacks. Kathy was absent; visiting with son Tom and granddaughter.
Sunday: We went to Carolyn's for a quick visit and pool swim. Carolyn had an engagement party/wedding to attend in the late afternoon, so we stayed only until 12:30. Tyler had made a queso cheesy sausage dip, very yummy.
AA watched the movie Hugo, had her Algebra tutor session and some much needed rest as she is still coughing. We split a bottle of champagne - a delicious way to enjoy the Sunday evening with my Hubby.
Labor Day Monday: Ford grilled hamburgers and tried the new Florida Man Beer from Cigar City (very hoppy, 8.5%!!). AA went to the golf course and hit a bag of balls before lunch, we ate early as she had a lesson at 2:00 p.m. with Coach Bryan until 4:30.
We went to our usual Monday River House Happy Hour. Nice way to end the weekend!
And for good measure a few more.....Chloe's first day of kindergarten:
And with the recent restrictions to access to abortions in Texas:
