Monday, we were up and ready to head to the Spring Meadow Golf Course to meet Mary. The weather was dreary with rain overnight. The day did clear up and within an hour of her tee time, the sun was beginning to peek out. AA and Mary had a slow round with several foursomes in front of them. Overall, a good way to get some practice in, as she had not played in six days. Was good to chat with Mary, but a round of golf is really not conducive to conversation. With her regular golfing days (Tues-Thurs) and her Hubby having shoulder surgery this Friday, we were happy to fit in this round of golf.
18th hole!Once home, we crashed after a lunch of leftovers. We did get on the road to L.L.Bean's about 4:30 p.m. We had a successful shopping experience and was handy with Mom's handicap parking pass!
AA found a pair of flip-flops and sneakers, I bought my new jeans (blue and white pair).

We tried eating at Gritty's but crowded, so tried a new brewery, the Maine Beer Company. Not much food on the menu, but delicious, pizza (fresh, thin crust) and the garden salad was excellent! Fresh lettuce, cherry tomatoes, lots of matchstick root veggies, pistachios on top with a nice vinaigrette. The beer was good, but not much selection, a few lighter type-pilsners, and the rest IPA's. So just get an average score.
Cheers!
L.L. Bean:
Tuesday, much cooler and rainy! I worked for a few hours to catch up on emails and demolition searches.

Wednesday, we visited with Auntie Jean and Jim, talked for a while, enjoyed a donut, then headed to Terri's for overnight trip with lobsters. We stopped at a Bolley's hotdog for lunch, drove through Hallowell, stopped at the riverfront park, colorful Adirondack chairs. Bought the six hard shell lobsters at Augusta Seafood (2002 N Belfast Ave, Augusta, ME 04330).
We took a tour of Terri's gardens, picked raspberries, veggies for a dinner salad. I cut up some rhubarb and made a quick sauce to go over vanilla ice cream. Yum! AA had a root beer float. We watched Nora Svet (metal detecting underwater) and a long PBS hummingbird documentary.
Thursday, (separate post with photos) the Boothbay Botanical Gardens with Terri, Andrew, Britney and Chloe. We ate lunch at the Gardens. After leaving, we took a quick walk at Boothbay Harbor and then stood in line for three lobster rolls for one hour and 20 minutes.
I was having sneezing/runny nose attacks that didn't clear up until bedtime.
The lobster rolls were HUGE!
I tried the sweet potato fries, I really liked.
Friday, waking up back at LSL lake. Ford and AA went to the golf course, then grocery shopping. After lunch we got in our bathing suits. Britney, Andrew and Chloe arrived, AA tried waterskiing again (I skied, fell and somehow really hurt my left side). Andrew went out with Josh Brown, AA, Chloe and Britney rode in their boat. Mom went and picked up pizzas for our dinner.
