Second Week of March 2021

Monday began with our happy thoughts for AA and her Palatka win! Still cool and windy, just a little warmer than yesterday. The house, screened porch, deck and driveway were all pressure washed today, while I worked from our bedroom and AA did her virtual schooling.
Tuesday: After making a new breakfast recipe - Blueberry Skillet Pancake (AA voted that she likes the Blueberry Clafoutis better, while Daddy Ford voted for this Skillet pancake; while I like both!).
This recipe does taste like a "pancake".  Before baking, the skillet is hot with melted butter, pour in batter then place blueberries on top:
Baked, puffy like a pancake:
Yummy!
Then Ford drove to the TPC; we bought two tickets but AA did not want to miss school (what an amazing child/teen!). I had work to do, so it actually was good for Ford to have some time to wander freely and some "alone time" which is very rare. First photo he sent, was of Ian Poulter:
I prepared for Easter with 12 eggs, Bible versus in each to read beginning 12 days before Easter. We haven't been to church in a year, we have listened to some on-line services and music, so thought this will fill our spiritual void!
I "tried" to practice my putting strokes with AA, Ford even joined in for a putting game which AA won. We had a nice sit on Talon's patio while AA continued practicing. The EH Operations36 lessons continue, and we wish AA had wanted to participate.
Ford made air fryer salmon for dinner, very good!
We watched the movie "The Dig", based on a true story. We like several of the actors, Ralph Fiennes, Lily James and Johnny Flynn (Mr. Knightly in 2020 Emma). AA left halfway thru, said too boring. We liked it okay.
Wednesday: I worked at the NGS office. Ford grocery shopped. AA hit the driving range after school.
And today is the 37th Anniversary of meeting Charlotte - she called me and we hashed over whether we met in 1983 or 1984; she was right, we met in 1984. So happy friendiversary!

Thursday: Ford had his monthly haircut by Steve, took our two new Trek bikes for the free check-up at Lakeshore bikes. Glad he did that as we are still trying to get used to them, different frames and so many gears! I worked at NGS again, came home to V's pizza, chicken wings and Caprese salad. AA played several holes with Coach after her golf lesson, then worked on her novel in the evening. We need to find some movies to watch (appropriate ones!).
Friday: Working at home. Another beautiful day - low's in the 50's, high yesterday was low 70's. AA golfed with Coach, Kalea, Cambree and Jenna.
Saturday: AA and Ian rode bikes for an hour then played for a short time with their VR set. We drove to Sweet Sensations for take-out lunch, enjoyed in Spring Park. You could feel the cool breeze of the river water, otherwise a warm day - 80 degrees.
Ginger outside enjoying the sunshine:
Lunch in Spring Park:
We took AA to spend the night and part of Sunday to Carolyn's.
They went to Talbot's Park Sunday morning.
On the way home from dropping off AA, we went to the River House and met up with Hugh, Maureen and Kathy. And then went home (childless) for a steak and potatoes dinner!
Sunday, Ford drove to Justin's to give Kilee her birthday money. She gave us our Christmas gifts, paintings of golf and red wine. Very nice to make the gifts!
It's officially the beginning of school spring break! And Happy Pi Day!
