The past few days were uneventful with AA doing her virtual school, my working, AA's golf practice. The highlight was the national Honor Society ceremony on Thursday. At work, a company, ERS was hired to relocate gopher tortoises from the landfill B closing area:
Saturday, AA finished writing her thank you notes, had five remaining to do for our neighbors who gave her dog food.Ford decided we had not made sausage balls in a long time, so baked a batch today. Always yummy for breakfast or a snack.
We are planning our Washington DC trip, scheduled for next Friday (we cancelled a few weeks ago when the weather forecast predicted 80% rain all weekend). This weekend, will be chilly for us, with highs around 57 degrees! We are packing our winter coats since we are staying outside!
We joined Hugh, Maureen, Kathy and Penny on Zoom for our group Happy Hour. Always a good chat for an hour or so.
Sunday, AA and Ford went to her NFJG Tournament at Bent Creek. I made a new recipe of pumpkin oatmeal cookies. Very different than the other pumpkin molasses ginger cookies. These were softer, chewy with old fashioned oatmeal. Good taste, may try them again by not flattening them as much and baking a little longer.
I went to Carolyn's to pull some weeds, used my Roundup and dropped off a few items. We jumped in the pool to cool off - 87 degrees today! The pool water was 82 and seemed cooler than that. Had a good visit while she was cooking to put up her weekly meals. I took Ginger so she had some time with Bella as they will be together next weekend for four days. And a funny wine quote:Tomorrow AA is playing a team tournament, NC PRO-LADY AT EAGLE HARBOR with Stephanie and Penny, should be competitive and fun! That's a wrap for our weekend!
