Weekend! Happy Mother's Day!

Saturday, the day before Mother's Day is when for several years we enjoyed attending Maggie's Herb Farm's Annual Open House/Festival. This stopped a few years ago, I think it was stopped due to lack of money and employees to organize it, there is the owner and one employee, so we fear that they may not last much longer.
The day before Mother's Day is also a time to thank the women who birthed children and were not able to raise them, also foster parents, nannies, etc. These women held and loved babies until joining a forever family. "Just because a woman is not raising the child she has given birth to doesn’t mean that she is any less of a mother. In fact, the women who choose to place their children for adoption are often the bravest kind of mothers — women who have made the selfless choice to give their child the best opportunities in life with another set of parents."

You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.”
AA played a practice round at Slammer and Squire with Isaiah R.
I caught up on many house tasks. I planted a few lettuce seeds, it may be too late this season, gets too hot for lettuce to grow in June/July.
I still need to plant the lemon ponderosa tree from Carolyn, didn't get to it this weekend.
We "Zoomed" with Hugh, Maureen, Penny and Kathy, Saturday "Happy Hour" at 5:00 p.m. First try:
Second "meeting":
Sunday: Mother's Day, drove to Maggie’s Herb Farm. I selected a citronella, two Penta’s (flowering plant for butterflies), a spearmint plant and Ford bought a ghost pepper plant (very hot!). My card from AA, love my baby girl!!
Photos at Maggie's!
Rooster and chickens!
We picked up Sonny's take-out (the server meets each vehicle, we don't like going in any public business yet, the COVID19 continues) and enjoyed lunch by the Trout boat launching area/pavilion.
A very nice Mother's Day!
Next up: Monday - Tuesday: NFJG Tournament at WGV, Slammer and Squire golf course. And our new washer and dryer will be delivered and installed this Thursday!
