May Begins!

Another quiet week, we are thinking more long term with our activities and staying safe from the virus. Wearing a mask in public areas, businesses, inside any public building that is not our home, plus gloves, sanitizing everything we touch, washing hands and we are now accustom to not touching our faces, using other means. This is the way it will be for a long time.
I forgot to post about dropping in on Penny (Monday, 27th) with a "Brighten Her Day" note with sunflowers and a split of champagne. We chatted for awhile, we stayed in our car and she got as close as she was comfortable. We hope the River House will be open soon, but will have to see how they achieve the physical distance needed.

We allowed Donna in our home (4/27) to clean after a month hiatus. Ford, Coach Bryan and AA went to the TPC (4/29) for her club fitting (with all safety precautions answered by the TPC). That’s a whole different story to explain what she did and what her new clubs are (and cost $$$$). Josh Gumlia, Club Fitter – PGA Tour Performance Center at TPC Sawgrass, assessed her swing and said what a pleasure it was to see her play.
Working different clubs:
She will have a new set of irons that will be standard ladies length, a new Callaway driver, Taylor-Made hybrid and more (I don't really know, will know when they get here!).
AA's golf lessons have restarted as of May 1st, the Eagle Harbor Homeowners Association has allowed some re-opening.
Still cooking dinner six of seven nights. Ford and AA have picked up lunch from our local Greek deli restaurant, always the Greek salad for AA. With the Governor opening restaurants this Monday (4th) for outside dining and 25% capacity inside, looks like we can dine outside at Talons beginning on the 5th. Hair salons are not allowed open yet and I need my hair colored soon!
AA golfs with interesting men, this week it was two brothers meeting up, one a retired Army General from St. Marys, the other lives in St. Augustine.  They saw AA play well, commented how well she hits her drive down the middle, how focused she is. One asked about Ford as her coach, Ford replied no, best coaching I give her is to not coach her, I'm her Dad, and I drive the cart. AA beat all three in the group (third - General Manager for Mazda). AA golfed with Tyler M. on Saturday after her lesson, she's doing great by what I hear. Tyler hits 250 yards, amazing from white tees, AA hits from green (she's reaching 200 yards now). So good that she continues to improve and when she has her new clubs, watch out!
We are fine with this sheltering at home, enjoy each other (love!!), so AA was happy when I unpacked the Rummikub game (still cleaning out the garage!) and have played every night. I finally won one game!
Writing down the winners name after every game:
NFJG was opening back up with a tournament at Fleming Island this Sunday (3rd), but on Saturday was cancelled with FI saying they didn't have the means to keep everyone safe and sanitized with 120 players plus spectators at this point (and then FI stated that no golf carts would be available due to an earlier tournament). Seems fishy and cancelling on Saturday evening...... Either way, I am fine with the cancelling as I was hesitant putting her in it, a bit too soon for us to be mixing in public, even with the six foot physical distancing (she would have gone in the Pro Shop, the ladies room, etc).
With me working on Saturday, the week went by too fast! Happy Sunday!
