Reggie called Ford about getting Isaiah Robinson and AA together for a round of golf at Oakleaf. We hesitate about being around anyone due to the COVID-19 virus, but with the separate golf carts and physical distancing, we decided this would most likely be the last time to leave our home golf course. AA ended up 5 over Par for a great round! She currently alternates between the green and gold (shorter than green).
Back when they played EH PGA Jr. league, they were paired together and never lost a match until the Florida States in Orlando.
They played until dark, could not see the ball on the last hole.

Golfing with Isiah at Oakleaf GC - Sunday Evening

Tuesday March 23th - 28th
I am off work today, Tuesday as I shifted my schedule one day since I am scheduled to work Saturday, the 28th. I have several more photos but somehow Blogger is only uploading some of them, not sure why, seems random (just figured out it was a strange file extension, .jfif; I changed back to .jpeg and all is good now!).
Drove to Moccasin Park so Ginger could have a different walk.
AA did a great job making the round meatballs:
With the golf course still open, we have some normalcy and many opportunities to be outside.
Friday at work, the operators found an abandoned puppy. Thankfully she seems healthy and Brad wanted to keep her, his daughter named her Daisy.
We purchased two rugs from Overstock, a runner for the front door and area rug for the living room. They were very inexpensive, so low risk if we don't like them or want to change out in a few years. So far, working fine and more rug space for Ginger to walk on (covers more of our wood floors).
Ford has made several loaves of his no kneed bread. Yummy fresh bread. So far we have been able to get plenty of bread, rolls and buns at the local grocery. Next time we need groceries, will be using the pick up curbside service.
Saturday, I worked and Ford had the house pressure washed. The temperatures have skyrocketed, now in the 90’s for three days. Stacy and I had "take out" fried shrimp from Junior's a local Northside restaurant.
Making homemade pizza dough, putting on toppings and baking - another yummy homemade dinner:
AA begins school next week, all on line. Spring break has ended!

Monday Golf Practice
Love seeing my daughter play golf! She practiced then played the back nine today. With most everything closed, we are so grateful that the golf courses are still open. We even bought two drinks to go at Talons! @TalonsEagleHarbor
Love her!
Hole 14:
Ford and I searched water hazards for nice practice balls for AA. We found about a dozen balls worth keeping. She uses her tournament balls when practicing with her Coach and in tournaments. These practice balls saves us much money on an annual basis.
Happy day when I can spend it with my family!
Week of March 16th - Everything is Closing!
All in this week, the COVID-19/coronavirus has struck the USA in full force. We have been discussing and planning since the end of February, but now it is a threat and we are doing the social distancing and limiting contact with the outside world. So far take out food, grocery stores and pharmacies are still open. Three states have mandated stay at home (shelter-in-place) for non-essentials. It will be here soon. We went to the grocery store several times to restock, just in case all shuts down. School in Clay County was out on Friday March 13th. Spring break is March 20 - 30th so only one week missed so far. On-line learning will begin on March 31st.
Monday, while AA was at Carolyn's (a decision we made based on limited contact for all involved) we dropped off 70 books to Cara's home and then went to the River House, little did we know all bars would be closed the next day - all St. Patrick Day celebrations were cancelled.
Our air conditioning does not work, finally determined that we need a new blower, so without cooling air during the week, in the 80's! Nice, with low humidity.
We cooked corned beef and cabbage (and potatoes and carrots) in the slow cooker for Tuesday's dinner.
On the 18th, Kilee's birthday was a phone call, a card and gift card.
I am still working, keeping our distance and using Clorox wipes everywhere!
Thursday, 19th: Ford roasted a whole chicken. He was going to smoke some meat but our electric smoker finally quit! AA began a Khan Academy lesson on probability and statistics, her next module in Algebra 1.
Friday: Busy day for Ford with David Gray coming to trouble shoot our HVAC plus Bobby Welsh came and they hung the Beatles print along with installing three ceiling fans. Ford roasted Boston Butt for pulled pork, really yummy! I came home from work, gassed up car and went to Scrubbles to wash it.
Facebook: Finally have a few jobs done around the house, Ford and our local handyman have been busy. New mailbox, three ceiling fans with lights installed, new caulking around shower pan, kitchen lights fixed, outside deck lights working, hallway light fixed, etc. About 20 more tasks on our list....... Was getting ready for a few spring family social events which now will be delayed. And they hung our Beatles print. Get by with a little help from my friends......
The framed print is 5 foot by 5.5 foot - a miracle that Bobby and Ford were able to hang it!
Saturday, March 21st: AA and Ford golfed (joined Ed on the course). I did my usual Saturday morning routine of picking up the house! Made Bruschetta for dinner. Bill and Ben called to see how we were doing.
Sunday, March 22nd: We kept busy, actually watched parts of on-line church services (OPUMC, FIUMC and Jesse's church), golfing in morning and evening. I even hit a few golf balls. I am getting closer and closer to actually thinking of playing!! :)
Lazy, cuddly mornings:
In the morning, I divided the most over crowded aloe plant (not the "mother plant"the ones I planted a few years ago at Winterbourne):
Facebook: Plugging along at home, working on a small gardening chore (“patio gardening”), divided aloe plants that literally spilled over the pot and broke apart. Plus I have another pot not shown that is OVERGROWN too! Anyone local want one to plant? Have plenty rooting in water too.
Gave away four: Kim B., Stephanie, Bryan and Lona. Have more!
Bike ride to the Doctor's Lake boat launch on Lakeshore Drive:
Sunday, we ordered take out from Talons, the Taco Table Family Meal. We will have three or four meals from it! Huge!
Facebook: Clay County friends, please call #TalonsEagleHarbor Restaurant and order food to go, 11 am - 7 pm. They have a pick up menu on line - call 9042691953 or 269-9300. They have many family size meals, we chose Taco Table that was excellent, build your own tacos and will feed the three of us for two more meals (AA loves tacos). Many starters and handhelds too. Keep our @TalonsEagleHarbor open! {and thank you if you share this}
Facebook:
Our dream life (while not being disrespectful about the terrible spreading virus), golfing for second time today (not me silly, AA), gold tee boxes, playing Par golf. All her golf tournaments were cancelled thru mid-April so more time to practice and play. #EagleHarborGolf #HamptonGolf #AlyzabethMorganGolf #GirlsGolf #JuniorGolf
Monday, March 23rd: We are still having lazy mornings, but I did set my alarm for 6 a.m. so by Wednesday morning, 4:40 a.m. won't feel so bad (I have to work Saturday). Bobby Welsh has been working on our house to-do list and stopped by to look at a few more tasks (add shelf in 3rd bedroom closet, hang mirror in same room, replace pump in front door fountain, fix one of the Adirondack chairs, install a new switch for our new ceiling fan and light in the MB, etc). AA and I baked frozen ready made chocolate chip cookies (dough we bought from Livi six months ago!).
Ford made a trip to the grocery and so much for physical space:
This past week I must have set a record with the number of posts on Facebook!

Another Week Flying By..... 03/07/20
Facebook: Been another busy week, from last weeks Robotic Florida State Competition (finished middle of pack of high schools and junior high schools), AA’s all last week long school tests scoring 100’s, beginning her volunteer help with mini-golfers “Eagles Nest” age 3 - 6, to my starting a 100 squats a day challenge, and today, good luck to my talented golfer, another weekend two day tournament!
AA golfing with Coach Bryan:
Enjoying time with my Cuz, Carolyn Redmond at #TheRiverHouse. Can’t wait until Ford, AA and Palace friends arrive.
03/09/20
What a difference from the past four cold, windy days (73 right now), heading into the 80’s for the next six days! Azaleas, Geraniums and Amaryllis in bloom! Ginger is my walk companion.
